Yes it's a bad thing because 50+ people don't download their music illegally, but buy all of it and make albums like Taylors huge hits while albums like Kanye's look like the biggest fails lol Hence they give a wrong perception on what do people listen to. For example if you go on thepiratebay and browse for music...the most downloaded album in the last 6 months is Recovery with no competition whatsoever. It's been number 1 since Early June this Year.

All that proves is that Older fans have loyalty and Younger fans just steal from you

Rather have the older fans personally

Thats the problem with hip hop tho, especially in the Underground, an Album like that Copywrite CD that came out will get rave reviews online, and not even crack the Billboard 200........SMH, you realize as bad as things are now you only have to sell like 2,000 CD's to get on the charts, its hilarious that out of all the stuck up, Nit-Picky motherfuckers online who brag about this shit, not even that many of them respect these artists enough to buy their shit, and they'll be the first ones to cry like lil girls when there favorite MC's "Sell Out", like these dudes really wanna raise their kids on Food stamps and hand me downs so they can entertain you for free, GTFOH

all people keep on saying only nannys love taylor swift and they are the only ones that buy albums..........i don't agree

even though i am not from US and i don't know what old people here are interested(most of taylor sales are just US based ) , i don't think old people will like her music and her music themes........i think they must be buying for their grand children or children...............her biggest fans must be teenage girls (7-24)
it is just my reasoning.....may not be true

people who don't buy albums but download illegally are not true fans........people who buy more than 1 albums are stans

Older people have jobs and money, therefore they are more likely to buy it :coffee:

There's obviously many other variables, just sayin :y:

it goes along with why bands like the eagles have records that sell a lot and do recovery type charting for extended periods of time, older generations buy the album, because they have money, they respect the music and would rather pay for it than "steal" it, and also they probably dont know how to steal it lol

Just a couple more reasons-
The younger you are the higher the number of artists you listen to. On average. You cant buy all the albums
Younger peeps dont buy albums, they buy singles and ringtones
Older people dont trust torrents and limewire- think the FBI will catch you
Young peeps dont got cars (yeah, like me) to blast their cd's so we on ipods in the subway.

Yeah i think Recovery is gunna spend alot of January in the top 10 on the Billboard. It will probably spend more weeks in the top 10 than The Massacre. I wonder if it can match The Eminem Shows top 10 length.

And woo over 4,000 posts.

No Love was kinda flop
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
