we all know it, don't try to sit here and claim he's just as good. im a huge em fan and still love his new shit, but don't kid yourself.

Forever and No Love flows still prove he can switch it up and still be Fire Marshall

i really didn't love those flows, but those were the best he's done with them..not bad..but anyway, don't you think he used to be much better at flowing? like...he still did the same writing structure, but he didn't pause directly in the middle of them..i mean, i don't really think it's arguable.. his flow is definitely choppy because of it.

theres some tracks like Where Im At where he pauses...some tracks like Untitled where he doesn't...some in between. I think if he was on his own beats or Dre beats he would flow better (Relapse) but his content would suffer (Relapse, Encore). Deja Vu is the only Dre beat since TES that i really enjoyed the content.

i wonder why though, because he used to be able to flow and have content..i mean, he still can (and at times does)..if you like at The Warning, Insane (really odd, but a solid track in terms of flow/storytelling/lyrics) Deja Vu, Underground (I like it, some don't..) Almost Famous..
I just get irritated when he does dumb shit like this, because i know he can still do it when he wants to. i just think it makes better music overall, easier on the ears, just smoother..

Or maybe we're talking about something else, I think you're referring to his recent choppy flows like on "Where I'm At" where it sounds like the sentences have been chopped up.
That's more to do with his flows, in his constant struggle to sound different every album.
But, something he and other good rappers do but which he does very well (as a skill) is ending... well, ending lines in the middle of words or even half way through a sentence, but the flow remains smooth - this makes you have to keep listening to make sense of the complete line, it's technique and it's skillful. It's like... rhythmic flair or something.
But I don't think you necessarily mean that anyway. To see what I'm talking about you can listen to the 09 Westwood freestyle, he does it a lot there, sounds awesome.
