Why would you buy/leak Eminem songs from 2004-2007?

Postby MikeNUFC » Dec 31st, '10, 19:24

I dont get it - the music and rhymes are obviously gunna be horrible. Fucking get some unreleased SSLP/MMLP stuff - now that would be worth getting excited for and actaully nice to listen to.

Difficult should never have been leaked. It's like an incredibly hanuting version of Mockingbird that's not even nice to listen to - a drug fuelled, bitter, depressed Eminem mumbling odd stories about him and Proof while typically for that time period not even able to rap properly. It's up there with the worst Eminem songs ever.

I cant believe I'm seeing people giving this song 10/10 - Eminem would admit it's a dreadful song - hence why he never released it. You're Never Over is the real tribute to Proof and the one people should use to see how Eminem felt about his best friend - not one that Eminem probably wrote/recorded after munching on 40 ambien.

And the "Eminem made it so dat meanz he dont mind if we hear it init" excuse is rubbish - I've wrote verses I never plan on showing anybody yet still keep them. It's something you do at the time to get how you feel of your chest. Eminem probably kept it as something to use so he's not tempted to start using again.

Ill admit that Syllables track is hilarious - unintentionally so of course because of the hypocrisy that it's dripped in. It's a lovely slice of unintentional irony.

I think the rawness of Difficult makes it a good song. It's not that it's incredible lyrically. That's not the point anyone's making. It's just so great emotionally and it touches you.

It depresses me because it shows how fucked up Eminem was and what an awful rapper he was at the time.

The tone of his voice is enough to put you off - I can just imagine a fat Eminem in the studio mumbling this. Not nice.

No-one should have heard this but Eminem.

Oh shut the fuck up.

Who gives a fuck about how good the rhymes are and how crazy the flow is and all that shit.

it's poetry. It's not a regular rap song.

You little internet wannabe "hip hop heads" are annoying.

what's wrong with mockingbird?
it's a nice song, one of the best from encore
and difficult is really good
if you like eminem, this doesn't mean you have to like only a third of his songs
if difficult isn't as good as a song from MMLP or TES, it doesn't mean its rubbish :facepalm2

I agree with you in that if you compare the rhymes, lyrics, flow, voice, energy to anything else he's done outside of his drug period then it comes out worse.

But this song is not about that, its an insight into him at his most destroyed and the emotion of the song overpowers anything else you can criticise about it. This song is pure sorrow and heartbreak in every way and I don't see how anyone could not be touched by that.

Before I head out, I just wanted to say I agree with mike 100% on this.

The fact that some of you have stated that difficult is a better record than you're never over is... just fuckin' sad.

I swear that if Em made a track of him sobbing his eyes out & all you heard was the tear drops falling on the mic. You'd say that's an amazingly beautiful track, far better than that Recovery shit.

I'm out.

honestly quit making yourself look dumb.

dude... he wasn't even close to being a full blown addict at the time of this song.... those fat and bloated pictures of him were from '07 - '08.

He obviously jumped in the booth depressed as fuck because his best friend JUST died. Of course its not going to be a happy go lucky song. Drugs have nothing to do with why hes mumbling and sounding like hes about to kill himself. You're a fucking moron. :facepalm2 :facepalm2

Next time someone close to you dies, pay attention to the way it makes you feel, drugs or no drugs.

It's poetry? It's fucking HORRIBLE poetry then. How is anything in Difficult even close to poetic?

It's not all about rhymes, no, but his voice isn't even close to any emotion because of the drugs. It's sad but not how it should be.

And ANYONE can write shitty emotional rap. It's fucking easy as shit, it's delivery, flow and rhymes which are important.

Look:

I just lost my best friend and I fucking cant believe it
Remember when we played b-ball, man that was the shit
Me and you laughing and cracking jokes
Hard to tell you kids they lost one of the they folks
But I did, two beautiful children with no dad
Its unreal that your gone, everyone so sad
Even that stupid motherfucker who betrayed us
If I see him I'll kill him, I've had bout enough

They you go: lyrics as good as Eminem's on Difficult.

Youre Never Over is a GOOD tribute song.

I wont fully reply to Mxracer6y - he's proved himself to be an idiot too many times. Eminem in 06 was a full addict you fucking idiot.

errr and stop fucking comparing it to 'you're never over'

because its NOT the same song! or even supposed to be similar!

They are two fucking polar opposite songs, with two completely different meanings and emotions.

jesus fucking christ.
