unless everyboyd just counts on the radio for their new music, than people better have known Lil Wayne before Lollipop /before he went completely gay

i got into Wayne after Tha Carter II got a lot of buzz, and some friends were talking about it all the time, so i got myself a copy. Fireman? Go DJ? Those songs got a lot of play i think!
That was not a bad cd, not incredible, but decent. Then came Lollipop, and the auto-tune, and ohhh nooo!

I remember people talking about The Carter II, so I knew him by that. I never actually heard any of his songs until Lollipop, I hated it.

Heard him first on Destiny Child's song, Soldier, along with T.I. I liked his songs before, nothing amazing lyrically, but good rap music none the less, till he became a whore.

IDK about you all, but he was huge in my area (DC) way before Lollipop. I first heard him on I Need A Soldier by Destiny's Child back in 04. Me and my buddy listened to Tha Carter II everyday in English class (he loved it, and he owned the iPod haha). I thought he was dope then and I still do. Using Lollipop to dicredit Wayne (I'm not saying you are) is like using LTWYL to discredit Em.
