But you didn't want it to leak for the wrong reasons....Just because it was recorded during Eminem's low times and it doesn't display Eminem's technical skills as a lyricist, which I think is stupid.

Not really. Eminem is in a different state on Different than he is on Mockingbird.

Keep slaying em Mike. Agree with the irony of syllabills. With difficult you can tell the track is private it is a person going through hell after losing a close one I can see why he did not want the track released I would not want to have it released if I was him too. However it has been released I like the track because I can somewhat look inside the zombie mind of eminem during that time but also appreciate recovery as an album a whole lot more.

Not really. Eminem is in a different state on Different than he is on Mockingbird.

So what if he's in a different mental state?

Everything about this song reminds me of Mockingbird. The same sombre piano, the same monotonous, dead delivery, the same flow, the same basic rhyming. Even the story about the jacket reminds me of the Christmas tree story in MB.

But let's judge Mockingbird, because he WANTED us to hear that pile of crap.

People think just because Eminem is being serious/emotional on a song, it's good.

I did not say mental state. I meant his actual physical state, as well as his mental state of depression. So what if he was in a different mental state? Of course it matters, a different mind state produces different music.

Whether or not you like those types of songs is just a matter of personal preference though.

It produces different content, sure. But it doesn't necessarily produce different flow/voice/rhyme patterns (or lack thereof).

Eminem could cry into the microphone for 4 minutes over a beat, not even saying any words... just sobbing. And they'd rate the song 10/10. "Soooooo emotional!!!! :'( "

LOL, that's an exaggeration

Not to say the song wasn't incredibly sad, though. But ever consider that Eminem didn't release it for a reason?

depends on which period of time he would be crying on
cuz if it was during relapse he woulda been crying with an accent
and if it was recovery he woulda been crying whiling screamin
or crying during the drugged out phase he would just be moaning

It matters because you're some retarded little kid that is acting like your opinion is superior to everyone else's.

LOL see you're acting like a kid right because you can't stand the fact that I've proven you wrong so you feel the need to call yourself a "winner" of an argument....Lol please that's equivalent to saying something like "I KNOW U R BUT WHAT AM I!?!?"

So on the contrary little boy, I won.

:coffee:

How have you proved me wrong?

You posted a photo of me from 3 years ago, where I look completely different to what I look now and called me a "retarted little kid" Not sure how young I look even effects my view on hip-hop.

"If you look younger den ur actauly age, you dont have da view on da hip hop scene init"

You've just attempted to insult me.

That's it. You haven't refuted ONE of my points.

Anyway, I'm going off-topic. This is my final post in the argument. Arguing with someone who brings up irrevelant points is pointless.

LOL, the picture is hilarious....I don't remember me or anyone my age being that small or gay looking during the age of 16.

Back to the topic then little boy....

The track is recited poetry over a beat....Eminem isn't even trying to spit some crazy flow with multi-syllable rhymes.

I know he probably couldn't have back at that time period anyways but it's pretty obvious he meant for the track to be simple in terms of rhyming and laced with a simple beat
.

How do you know that?

Oh, I wasn't aware you're a mind reader.

The only thing that's obvious is Eminem was trying to put his feelings out there on a song. What he was actually going for, in his near-fatal level of pill consumption is anyone's guess.

This whole situation made me go back and listen to Evan C's song making fun of this entire phenomenon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv9W7e2zW-0). That shit's basically prophetic now.

LOL at idiots like you and mxracer6y, two of the most unfathomably stupid people on the internet, insulting MikeNufC's intelligence. Like, what is that? He's 19? How old are you two? That's REALLY sad if the two of you dipshits are older than that.

Since when?

Sarcasm is a mature form of humor. Making fun of someone's picture on the internet is what I call "immature."

But younger people tend to use sarcasm a lot more. I mean, I'm not gonna act like I'm old as fuck, I'm not, I'm 21, but it is a common trait in youth

Besides, I was saying that to just be an asshole :thumbsup2:
