Drake is a decent lyricist but his rhymes are so boring it's not even funny. They never surprise cus it is always just the last word of each sentence that rhymes.

Having said that he is 23 and could go on for a while if he improves. At the moment he just isn't good enough to choose his own way like Jay-Z if the industry finds a new guy.

He's kinda underrated on this forum, but outside of this forum he's extremely overrated. He's not trash, but he's not amazing

How exactly does he deserve it? He was rich before he started rapping because of Degrassi, he's got little to no street cred. The only reasons why he's so popular is because of A) his association with Lil Wayne and B) The majority of his fanbase are dumb girls

Well, what I mean by street cred is he never had hard times. I know you don't really have to go through bad times to be a great rapper, but I like knowing that my favorite rappers that I listen to came from the bottom to get to where they're at. It makes me respect them a lot more. I respect that Hopsin can make great music, even though he hasn't blown up

As I've stated many times, Drake is alright to me. I can stand him, maybe even more so than C3 Wayne. But he's not really a great lyricist, he is extremely overrated. He gets a lot of unnecessary hate, though
