Nas Talks Lost Tapes 2 Delay

After countless delays and setbacks, Nas reveals to MTV that he plans on attaching The Lost Tapes 2 as a bonus to his next studio album (due out later this year).

Because I kind of lost time, I really wanted to release [the album] in December. But I’m starting my next album. So I feel like I’ll probably give The Lost Tapes as a deluxe, maybe, on the next album for free. I’m trying to figure that out now.

Yeah, if you listen to the first album called, "The Lost Tapes", you'll notice that these aren't just simple b-sides that he threw on for the hell of it, it's absolutely classic songs that just didn't fit on the other albums he made.

I think I read somewhere that Pete Rock and DJ Premier have tracks on the second one.

I want that solo so bad.

Based on Distant Relatives and some of his verses that have leaked/released Nas is on absolute fire right now - his solo could well be a classic.

Looking forward to Lost Tapes 2 as well, of course, but they'e songs from the Untitled era, which, I enjoyed, just not as much as his work at the moment.

I loved Distant Relatives, Nigger and Hip Hop is Dead, and I think 2 of those 3 are classics.

But I can't wait to see a Nas free for all on an album again. By that I mean an album that isn't following a particular concept, and it's Nas being free and able to talk about anything and not trying to limit himself to speak on certain issues.
