Twista,Birdman and Cam'ron on Lil Wayne. They lost their mind

Postby EM1973 » Jan 4th, '11, 15:52

You can't really hate on Lil Wayne for it 'cause no one had done it before in rap," Twista said in an interview. "He was the first one that done it, so, you have to respect that. I love Lil Wayne 'cause one, he did what Tupac did -- brought a lotta records out and exceeded the normal rapper's output. And two, he's one of the last rappers that still makes me want to rap. Like other rappers I listen to and don't feel nothing. But I can listen to Wayne and get inspired to pick up the pad and write something myself." (The Boom Box)-Twista

"He can rap, he can sing, he's just an artist," Baby said in an interview earlier this year. "I don't think no one will ever be greater because I don't think no one puts in the time or the quality. If someone do come along, can you imagine what he'll have to do? He got to put out on thousand mixtapes, do a thousand records [and] sell 100 million records. 2Pac, Jay-Z and Biggie didn't get to the sh*t Wayne's done." (Vibe)-Birdman

"Wayne's my man," Cam said in an interview. "I'm proud of him, he worked hard. You know with a lot of people, Wayne's been doing this for years. Wayne had a record deal before I had a record deal, you know what I'm saying? Even though Cash Money been out for 12, 13 years so you know, for him to come up for where he came up, it was all them, B.G., Juvie, Turk, everybody. To see him excel from all that and become one of the hottest people in the game, 10, 12 years later, I'm really proud of him. That's my lil' man." (Street Heat)-Cam'ron

It's old but Birdman is an idiot if he thinks that Lil Wayne is better than Pac,Biggie and Jigga.Who gives a damn if he is a singer. If he is a singer compare him with Justin Bieber.

People continue to overrate Lil Wayne. They call him best rapper ever, best rapper alive e.t.c.
First of all as a skilled rapper he isn't even a Top-10 talent,as a lyricist not even close,as about sales? He will never touch Eminem,2pac,Jay-Z.As about classic albums?Come on now...
As about the impact?Eminem,Pac,Biggie,Rakim,Wu-Tang Clan(all the members),Big Daddy Kane,Nas,Jay-Z,LL Cool J,Masta Ace,Andre 3000 and of caurse the master the originator Afrika Bambaataa and other>>>>Lil Wayne.
All the rappers can be considered overrated for some reason. But Lil Wayne is overrated for a lot of reasons.

Birdman is a licker and he is an idiot because he is 42 years old and remember most of the greats. How he dare to say that?

you also gotta keep in mind that Wayne is only 28 and has many more album releases ahead
he'll probably have the most studio albums ever by a large margin when he finally retires
anyone know the record for most albums by a solo artist?

So what? His albums aren't classic. He is 28 and?Rakim considered GOAT at his 22.Because he was a unique talent.Age means nothing. If you are good you are good.....It doesn't matter if you are 20,30,40.

What an idiot

He'll never sell 100 million records anyway

Wether it's good or bad, Wayne is talked about more than anybody in the game. (Example: this thread being made to try to stir some hate)

As far as rapping skills go, if you put him in a cypher with the likes of Nas, Crooked I, Rakim, etc., Wayne would be slaughtered to pieces..we all know that. But it's not all about rapping. In my opinion, it's nice to listen to someone like Wayne to dumb it down for a little bit (in a sense). I love dope lyricists like Lupe Fiasco but it's not always fun having to figure out what he's talking about every song, sometimes it becomes a chore. It's enjoyable and easy to listen to Wayne and his punchlines are so clever.

When his career is over he won't be mentioned by the hip-hop heads as a legend, but he will be considered up there with the immortals: Em, Jay, Big, Pac, etc. b/c of his relevance and extreme popularity.

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

All of them beside Birdman's sound normal to me.. But his was completely ridiculous. For one, Wayne cannot sing. Two, he's claiming in order to be better someone will have to make more music... Apparently he never heard of quality over quantity.

All that does is solidify the fact that Birdman is a moron. Wayne is still a good rapper though.
