I say the Eminem album with best hooks is a toss up between 'The Slim Shady LP' and 'Relapse.'
The SSLP had LYRICAL/multi-syllable choruses like the ones on Rock Bottom, Still Don't Give A Fuck, Brain Damage, Bad Meets Evil, and it seems like it went downhill (hook-wise) during the MMLP and TES and Encore. It's like it became more of a catchy hook instead of a lyrical one, and it was more focused on a couple of things, instead of a 4 or 8 line multi-syllabic hook.
But, in 'Relapse' I think he got back to making lyrical hooks (Insane, Stay Wide Awake, Underground, Deja Vu, Same Song & Dance). But at the end of the day if I had to choose ONE, I'd go with the SSLP.
So what do you guys think? And remember, I'm not saying just because a chorus has multi's it means it is a better hook. Just asking which album(s) of his, do you think, have the most lyrical hooks?
Which one has the worst?
