Elevator = severely underrated (single potential)

Postby Rindain1 » Jan 5th, '11, 09:40

The elevator beat reminds me of his first 3 singles, along with the outro with just the beat playing. Em beat are awesome; I hope he does a bunch for his next album. And the chorus might just be the catchiest chorus he's ever made.

Plus the song is funny and clever as fuck and has amazing rhymes, i.e.:

Chainsaw slaughters turn your daughters into sawdust
I never thought it’d come to this, I outta just be honest but
Damn I love that rhyme..

Why don't I see this song on the list of best Em songs>?

Most underrated Em song ever imho.

Yes, the "fake it/faggot" thing when referencing them is clever on several levels, and one of the things I like about the song. But overall, no.

(elevates, I saw what you did there)

Great song, video would have been good. Wasn't released as an official single it was released just alongside the release of Refill just like Old Time Sake was released like a week before Relapse. With a music video and peformances it could've had potential.

I've always liked this song, but it did shit as a single...

This is that crazy Shady that we were missing, without the accent for the most part (there is that little bit in the second verse...)

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

I've never really been a huge fan of the song, the chorus is amazing and it starts off well but it gets a bit shit as it goes on. If he re-wrote the verses so they were about him blowing up it could've been a huge single, but as it is it's a pretty average song.

either you're trolling or you are a complete jackass.

Everyone complains they'd wish he'd go back to his old style, no accent, no angry shouting.... well this is it, and no one appreciates it... waay underrated.

His flow, delivery, lyrics... everything on this song reminds me of TES days...
