3. Or that he not only did what we hoped (3.2-3.3) but that he did 3.4

I think Recovery will sell around 600-700k this year so perhaps 4.1m by the end of 2011. Although with huge grammy success & a strong next single it could do 4.2-4.3m. It's all early days though, who knows what 2011 has in store for him.

It will be interesting to see how long Recovery remains in the top 10 now it must be just a few weeks away from topping The Massacres top 10 length. It could well remain here untill at least after the grammys seeing as their aren't any huge releases coming up. That could be enough for Recovery to top The Eminem Shows stay in the top 10.

For the next few weeks its probably gunna be a battle between Taylor, Em, Nicki, Rihanna & Kanye for #1 seeing as i can't see any big releases this month. We will likely see the lowest sales for a #1 album ever.

Canada Year-End Sales

So who sold the most records in Canada in 2010? That would be Eminem’s Recovery wtih 435,000, which is more than double of the #2-selling album, Speak Now from Taylor Swift (215,000; then again, her record came out much later in the year). The Bieber is in third spot, followed by Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga.

But here’s the number that interests me: In 2009, 26 album sold more than 100,000 copies in Canada. In 2010, only 16 made it that far.

The biggest selling single digital song was “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz with 319,000 downloads. “Love the Way You Lie” from Eminen and Rihanna was #2 and Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” was #3.

This means that Recovery has sold enough to be 5x Platinum in Canada if Interscope would certify it.

Be amazing if Spacebound is the next single. It really does have strong potential that song.

That's true, I forgot about the grammy's, so if he does do big he can see huge numbers. Plus, it's selling great still, and the grammy's are not too far off, which will make that week/s even bigger if he does well
