Eminem's Domination of 2010...

Postby EminemBase » Jan 7th, '11, 02:14

So, aside from Recovery being the top-selling album, Em obviously dominated 2010 in music as a whole, or... was at least, one of the guys that did.

I've written an article on that, an extract...

Now, unless you’ve been living inside your own head… or a cupboard, for the past twelve months – it would of been near-impossible for you to not of been beaten across the head senseless with Shady’s success. Notice that I didn’t say comeback year as, although many critics unfairly like to dismiss and forget Relapse as if it never happened, 2009 WAS his comeback year and Relapse was his comeback album. Not 2010, and not Recovery.

Great read
- I hope you keep the blogging up (I just read the first entry too, which was another good one)

Regarding the topic in question (Eminem's Domination of 2010), it does make me wonder how he can top that, or at least try and equal it, in 2011. Admittedly the year is still very young, but I'm not sure he can top that in 2011. He could, if he really wanted to, but I don't think he will.

Although he did dominate the People's Choice Awards (their words), which is a great start to the year. There are also suggestions he could win big at the Grammy's, and there are rumours about him performing at the Brit Awards and stuff, and countless other things that could still happen. I'm hopeful for a new solo album in 2011, but in my head I know that is unlikely. Fuck it, who knows?

Like always, long and good like my dick :y: :worship:
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I Wouldn't say he dominated 2010 although it was a big year for him. 2002, that was Em's year no doubt but looking back on the year, your first thought of it may not be for Em like it would be for 02. Kanye and others were out there aot aswell, although you could say not as much sales etc. but good article

Nah, no matter what you feel about Recovery (not saying you did or didn't like it), Em definitely dominated 2010. The top selling album, 2010 Hottest MC, 10 Grammy nominations...Kanye and the others were nowhere near Em in 2010, Kanye comes in at a close second, but this isn't my biased for Eminem talking. It's the truth

Yes and I even think he is the greatest since Michael Jackson.

Now, can he catch up with Michael - he certainly has a long way to go, but he does have the potential.
