If you take all the criteria yes easily. As about real hip-hop fans it's debatable.
But as about impact worldwide, sales, success, yes easily.
Eminem with these 3 great albums made people worldwide listen to Hip-hop.You know in countries like Brazil,Mexico,Portugal,Spain,Germany people didn't give a damn about hip-hop.Eminem with these 3 great albums change that.

Kool G Rap
Road to Riches
Wanted Dead or Alive
Live & Let Die

(released within 3 years of each other)

MF DOOM
Vaudeville Villain
Take me To Your Leader
Madvillainy

(released within 1 year of eachother)

Redman
Whut! Thee Album
Dare iz A Darkside
Muddy Waters

(released within 4 years of eachother)

Public Enemy

It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Fear of a Black Planet
Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black

(released within 3 years of eachother)

Yeah I probably would give it to Em in terms of solo albums, but overall I'd say any 3 of Outkast's 1st 4 albums is the best 3 album run, either Southerplayalistic - Aquemini, or ATLiens - Stankonia
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Exactly. If I were to say that MJ or The Beatles or 2Pac or some other older global icon is better nobody would argue. Whats wrong with me thinking that Eminem has had the best 3 album run ever? Saying Im ignorant is just your way of trying not to sound stanish by saying your favorite artist is Eminem :facepalm

No need to apologize.
2pac isn't even close to Beatles or to MJ.Don't even compare them.John Lennon and especially Michael Jackson were in another level. Eminem is the bigger icon Hip-Hop has ever had.2pac was big in US.Worldwide Eminem is bigger and it's not even close.
I have lived in Italy for some years and people there didn't even know who was 2pac or Biggie. But everybody knew Eminem.

truee :y:

Em is the first and till now only global rapstar (i really sometimes doubt 2pac's worldwide numbers ,US yes.....worldwide not so much)...........he literally put rap on the world map......being white obviously helped but still (it was a disadvantage to start with)

On Em forums maybe. On any other hip hop or general music site 'The Eminem show' isn't as highly rated.

If Lasers lives up to the hype (This is very likely). Then, Mr Fiasco may have a three album catalog to match Outcast.

I'll beat him to it :smoking: even though I don't listen to Wayne I did some research and figured that Carter 1-3 were a good run. Surprisingly, all albums were universally accepted. So I'd say that's a good run for someone. Other than that, jay-z, tech n9ne, and some others had excellent 3 albums runs.

Of course em collectively tops them all. Haha
