Pop and rap are 2 different genres. But that doesn't mean you cant mix them together. Eminem's first three studio albums had plenty of pop elements but for the most part were raw and sounded like underground hip hop. Recovery just incorporates too many elements of pop for my liking. There's singing, repetitive subject matter and beats that don't suit Eminem. this is of course all my OPINION. And you have yours, which I respect entirley. At the end end of the day I just don't like it.
