Yeah but it's corny to make a whole thread just to say that. TR is one of the less forums that is not talking shits like Eminem is the GOAT and 8 Mile is the best movie etc. That's why i'm member here for more than 2 years!!! Don't ruin it!!!

But I can say I disagree. Eminem is not the best rapper ever, in my opinion. Give me Nas, Andre 3K, Mos Def, Rakim, Black Thought, Canibus, Jay-Z, Ice Cube, GZA, KRS-One, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Kool G Rap, Prodigy, and Kanye West before Eminem. It's not a bad thing to be in someone's top 16 rapper list though.

im sorry but this is quite wrong as none of these are better than Em.
im gonna compare the rappers who listed who i know enough off.
Nas is brilliant a member here made me Dl illmatic It was written Stillmatic and nastradamus.
he is an amazing rapper but he has no effect outside of his own fanbase he is one of the greats tho,amazing lyricist laid back delivery and concept can be either amazing sometimes or quite a let down.
Mos Def is deff not that good of a rapper,on a technical basis he is quite good to average and his whole "black community" concept is boring.
Rakim's Paid in full album with eric B is in my top 10 albums list,but he himself said/implied that Em is the GOAT,on a technical basis he is an amazing rhymer not very versatile at all though.
canibus,ok u got me rolling i love me a couple canibus track but his pretentious bullshit and dumb ass cringe worthy rhymes throw him off and that lame as shit concept.
Jay-Z the third best rapper ever after Em and Nas IMO he has 2 classics is a very big influence hes great technicaly amazing control on his whole music got some ghetto anthem,just a great rapper,even tho kingdom come and BP3 are bad albums.
Ice Cube is the definition of an OG with great flow and skill on the mic,hes a pioneer in the genre but no where close to the skill of Eminem.
Raekwon i only have enter the wutang classical album hes a good rapper,but nothing special at all.
GhostFace Killah didnt like him at all he is really boring.
kanye west,C'MON SON! I LOVE KANYE he is amazing most charismatic rapper ever he is a great incredible legendary producer,but in straight rapping he aint good at all.

NO ONE is the true GOAT because there are so many different rappers out there that you'll never find THE greatest. So, we just have to go with opinion, and in my opinion (and a lot of people's opinions, too) Em is GOAT. Now, I KNOW he's not THE GOAT, but that's not the point. The point is who you truly feel is the best is the GOAT to you. One guy can say Nas is the GOAT, another can say Jay, and a mentally ill person can say Wayne (lol). It doesn't matter, because at the end of the day we all believe in who we personally think is the greatest, and no one will be able to tell us different because music means different things to different people
