a lot of rappers have better skills than Em imo..such as diabolic, nas, AZ, rakim..I'm talking about skills..
difference between him and ather rappers is his various subject matter, his energy and devotion..

If someone thinks Em is the greatest, it's opinion. Technically in his prime he was easily one of the best rappers well, ever, so it's hardly surprising someone would think he's the best. I'd see the point if someone said Soulja Boy was the greatest when he can barely rhyme two syllables together, but you can't argue against the fact that technically Em was one of the best.

But I can say I disagree. Eminem is not the best rapper ever, in my opinion. Give me Nas, Andre 3K, Mos Def, Rakim, Black Thought, Canibus, Jay-Z, Ice Cube, GZA, KRS-One, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Kool G Rap, Prodigy, and Kanye West before Eminem. It's not a bad thing to be in someone's top 16 rapper list though.

Nas is brilliant a member here made me Dl illmatic It was written Stillmatic and nastradamus.

he is an amazing rapper but he has no effect outside of his own fanbase he is one of the greats tho,amazing lyricist laid back delivery and concept can be either amazing sometimes or quite a let down.

Mos Def is deff not that good of a rapper,on a technical basis he is quite good to average and his whole "black community" concept is boring.

Rakim's Paid in full album with eric B is in my top 10 albums list,but he himself said/implied that Em is the GOAT,on a technical basis he is an amazing rhymer not very versatile at all though.

canibus,ok u got me rolling i love me a couple canibus track but his pretentious bullshit and dumb ass cringe worthy rhymes throw him off and that lame as shit concept.

Jay-Z the third best rapper ever after Em and Nas IMO he has 2 classics is a very big influence hes great technicaly amazing control on his whole music got some ghetto anthem,just a great rapper,even tho kingdom come and BP3 are bad albums.

Ice Cube is the definition of an OG with great flow and skill on the mic,hes a pioneer in the genre but no where close to the skill of Eminem.

Raekwon i only have enter the wutang classical album hes a good rapper,but nothing special at all.

GhostFace Killah didnt like him at all he is really boring.
