What the fuck far from it, elaborate please.
There are rappers with great stories and concepts such as 2pac and had a cultural impact as big or even BIGGER than the impact made by Eminem, but again his style tends to be overdone and at some point tends to bore a person too.
Again elaborate and quit making blanket statements.
Now there are rappers with GOLDEN delivery, such as the Notorious B.I.G and to me Jay-z although some might disagree, and Biggie bein a story telling machine, and yet, they Don't match the deliver of Eminem who makes u wanna ''Glue ur eary to the sterio''.
Uh no Biggie's storytelling and delivery was on par if not outright better than Eminem's N.i.g.g.a.s Bleed, I got a story to tell, Warning, Juicy, Somebody's got to die not to mention being able to say simple phrases while sounding dope as fuck.
There are some rappers that have the lyrics, the delivery and flow and the concepts all together such as Nas who is one of the dopes in the history of the rap game, but YET, the Influence Eminem had on the rap game is bigger, and Nas doesn't match Em's wit and cleverness and out-of-this-world choice of words.
You keep contradicting yourself Pac had more impact than Eminem but he's not better, but Eminem has more impact than Nas and he's better? And no cleverness definetly goes to Nas telling a story back wards, through the perspective of a gun, point of view as a roach, n.i.g.g.a.s. crazy in being creative.
And no Nas is more influential than Eminem illmatic anyone? Widely considered the best hip hop album ever and is the album that influenced Eminem, which he got accused of copying his style same with az. To being one of the most sampled albums in hip hop, to stepping the lyrics of the rap game up, and being a major factor in bringing back East Coast Hip Hop.
Now people might say Eminem doesn't have a very consistent Discography, but I tend to disagree. Em's Discography is one of the most impressive ever. The Slim Shady LP, no rap album will ever match this, concept wise
Dr. Octagoncologyst
Deltron 3030
A prince amng thieves
and a shit ton more CONCEPT albums match it.
it had a veriety from funny songs who are delivered in a GOD-LIKE way, and amazing choice of words, and the songs like Rock Bottom who also have amazing rhyming and considered to be among if not THE best song of Eminem.
Agreed, I guess.
The Marshall Mathers LP had a lot of Emotion to it, it's not just bout killing, Em talkes bout all that pissess him off in a perfect way, some tracks give chills when u listen to them, Kill You and Kim the most. Not to forget ''Stan'' the term that is still being used for obssessive fans of a certain artist not just Eminem fans, and the message behind that song was amazing, and it was a pretty clever song and even got the perfect choice of a sample.
I'll use your logic stillmatic is just as good because it coined the term ether, and because it had a creative storytelling track Rewind, which pisses on Stan creaticity wise and storytelling wise. Stan is great, but it's more along the lines of Gimme the Loot.
And the Real Slim Shady, a song that shows,wel.... the real slim shady, the way he was pissed by all these pop stars people worship, and making fun of everyone and AGAIN using perfect rhyming and technichally amazing, not just the concept. The Way I Am, wow... now that's anger!!! Eminem has always been a fighter for freedom of speech and it doesn't get better than this track.
Uhmm cool
Now after Em had done these 2 albums, people might have thought it was time he finally dissappeared, but Eminem had a diffrent plan. He released The Eminem Show!! With again another switch of style, a more mature album than MMLP and toned down a bit. Sing For The Moment, lyrically fantastic, technichally amazing, and a POWERFUL concept and message behind this song. Every single line is almost quote worthy. Cleanin Out My Closet, usually when people are pissed with their mothers, they yell at her and call her names, and if a rapper wanna diss his mom, it will not match the class of this song, a song that even non-rap fans have loved and adored (although they think it's called Sorry Mama SMH).
Didn't know that...
White America, speakin of his struggles as a white man succeeding in this game and yet he took it by storm and if it wasn't from him, today would be less and less influential,
Not exactly sure if he had a positive impact on the game other than making it more mainstream, which not sure if it's even a good thing.
alot more amazing songs on this album, but also as i mentioned everytime, not just the message behind these songs, the wit, the cleverness of choice of words and YET still maintaining perfect techinchality with syllables/multies/rhyming/flow.
Lot's of rappers can do that, but yes I knock him he's grade A at rhyming multies while still hacing substance and not reaching.
Ok, then comes drugged out Encore which I agree with people that it's his worse album to date, and consider it came after 3 Classical albums it's viewed as a bigger fall-off because of that. Yet, Eminem never fails to deliver songs that are out of this world!!
Not sure if the last part is a good thing.
Mosh, I mean the words eminem said are intriguing and the delivery of this song was really up-lifting, imagine if Bush had actually lost the election back then, this song would have been even better, Like Toy Soldiers a classic song, Mockingbird, everyone loves it.
You're not even trying anymore you're just saying x song is good for superficial reasons.
Then in 2006 proof dies, and Eminem almost died etc... etc...,
Completely irreleven and when did Eminem almost die?
2009 is here and Relapse dropped. AND WOW!!! people who don't like it are blind!!!, first of all i think it counts as an experimental album cause of the serial killing/accent stuff
The accent was horrible and should never attempt that again, same as how Kanye should never use autotune again.
and Em mastered that and shoved Wayne's Rebirth in the trash, and out-did Kanye's 808 and Heartbreaks too.
All three were trash albums though.
Other than the concepts, the Lyrics were amazing, especially on Stay Wide Awake and 3AM, and the technichality on this one maybe his best ever. Look at these multies from Bagpipes from Bagdhad: titty fuck you till (your BREAST NIPPLES/FLESH TICKLES/MY TESTICLES) this line is out of this world!!!!
That's just corny
Beautiful is an uplifting song with a very positive message, dunno why some people hate it, maybe cause it didn't fit the cocnept of this album, but if y'all overlook the album concept and focus just on this song, y'all would worship it!!
I'm not worshipping that song, get out here it was good song though.
now comes 2010 Eminem, Recovery.I know i've shown this album alot of hate before, that's cause I was expecting the old Slim Shady, but since he has over-talked bout his personal stuff and at the time of the recording he was so happy cause of being sober and shit, he had to write how he's back and not drugged and mature etc... cause he's 38 now.. Plus it was an amazing album, Not Afraid was very uplifting, Love The Way You Lie is an international succes, ok people might say Em has gone pop,
If he's 38 he should just quit with the concepts altogether.
but when Jay-Z worked with Ri-Ri no one said that, when other rappers worked with non-rappers no one accused them of going pop, so why should Em be accused?
What the fuck people accuse Jay z of selling out all the time, and he even admits it.
No Love, shows how Em is >>>> than all this young money bullshit, and we should be thankfull he is back in this game, so that there will be some real rap left in the mainstream world.
He's better than young money but that's not saying much, and there's tons of rap still left, open your eyes.
It's not all love songs and shit, Going Through Changes was maybe the best on the album, 25 To Life was a clever song!! SMH @people still thinkin it's about a girl, Cold Wind Blows was a perfect start to the album!! and Untitled a perfect way to end it!!
Uhm calm down there buddy
Not to forget the Lose Yourself song I didn't mention when I was talkin bout 2002 Eminem, but I dont even think I have to write about it to explain what it is. The most exciting thing will be for us to see what em will talk bout in his NEXT album!! and BTW, please don't judge 2010 Em cause of the leaked songs, they are leaked for a reason, cause we were not supposed to here them in the first place and were sons that Em wasn't satisfied with THUS NOT RELEASED..DUH!!!
People do this to artists all the time not just Eminem
So which brings me to the conclusion, that Em have a mix of: Lyrical Ability and Clever Choice of Word/Cultural Impact and World Wide Success/Rhyme and Multies and Flow (Technichality)/Amazing Concepts/Wit and Charisma etc..., Em is all around the perfect rapper and had maybe one sub-par album which also had very good songs.
Only thing he has over most rappers on his level is impact and sales...
[/quote]So yeah Em is the G.O.A.T
In your opinion, sheesh what a headache and you seemed like you tried to make it hard to read on purpose so no one would bother even refuting you.
