I'd let him/her find out about Eminem theirselves. If they don't like him it's upto them, if they like him then I won't do anything. I wouldn't encourage nor put them off Eminem.

I mean I found out Eminem myself during the whole Encore era and it was during during my younger days, I'll admit I learned some swear words and I guess it affected my sense of fashion (Wearing 5XL shirts and 3 sizes larger pants ) but it didn't change me personality wise.

I'll probably still be blasting Em when I'm in the car with the kids, for all we know Justin Beiber could be a decent pop star by then

But Eminem helped me a lot to learn the language, seriously. Reading his lyrics,translating them, memorize the words.

Music (Eminem mostly) and movies helped me learn English maybe more than school.

I would let my kids listen to Em. All that talk "music and video games make kids violent" is such a load of CRAP. If you are an idiot, don`t blame the music. I grew up listening to "Kill you" and never even thought of chocking a bitch till the vocal cords don't work in her throat no more.

It's a free country, I'd let them listen to whatever they want. If they asked me who was my favorite artist back in my day, I'll tell them straight up that it was Eminem and I'll explain why. I'd explain his lyrics and the irony behind all the lyrics (I wouldn't let my children listen to him if they were below like...12). I'd make sure that they would listen to it with maturity and an open mind, and tell them not to take him seriously. Hell, I'd listen with them

She probably won't even know who he is, because of all the new rappers that'll be out when she's around that age though
