25 to Life is..

(There's been like 51351321 stupid threads.. I wanted one)
BACK TO SERIOUSNESS.

..possibly one of my favorite Eminem songs now, the lyricism in the song is just so true and I think everyone can relate to some part of it. DAMN, it actually gets me in an emotional state sometimes :(

It deserved my appreciation, that is all

Cause the shit I hear is crazy
But your either getting lazy or you don't believe in you no more
Seems like your own opinions, not one you can form
Cant make a decision you keep questioning yourself
Second guessing and its almost like your begging for my help

I agree, definitely one of my favorite Em songs ever

:worship: :worship: :worship:

His voice and style is powerful, this is the Eminem that I'd much rather hear than the shouty punchlines. And the lyrics are great, both verses are :y:

I relate to nearly every word, which is crazy to me

Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

I wouldn't call it my favorite song of all time, but it's defensively up there on the list.
Khalil did a good job on the instrumental too.

Chorus ruined it for me at first, but I like it now after listening to it more
Same exact thing for Going Through Changes.

he's just talking about how since age 25, he's been stuck in this life, or fame. All he's known to be is a famous rapper. That's all his life is known for, being a rapper, his music, his family.

It's definitely good. It's one of those songs in new era Eminem where you know the impassionate voice isn't put on, it's genuine and that's what makes it a great song.

I don't like the chorus though, it sounds too hollow. I think the beat could have been darker too.

Still a great song.

The title alone is wordplay.

It could mean what you are saying.

However, generally, 25 to life means in the prison system, not including for early releases that if convicted, you get a minimum of 25 years imprisonment up to your entire life as a sentence.

He's referring to Hip Hop being a prison pretty much.

Yeah exactly what I mean since age 25 he was famous. That's when he started become successful and from then hiphop he's been imprisoned by his own fame

All his uncles he knew died. Proof died. He divorced his wife, hated his mom and all his life

because of the fame and sacrifices, he felt imprisoned by his own fame.

25 To Life is probably my favourite Eminem song ever.

And if it's not then the 2nd verse is definitely my favourite Em verse ever.
