This is getting intense and nothing even been released yet!

Did I mention anything Eminem touches turns to gold?

They aren't gonna go against each other, they're friends. Why you think they're featuring on each other's albums? You all need to get over the YM hate, if you don't like them don't listen. They're getting their money, providing for their families, and putting out music lots of people enjoy. Just chill with the beef nonsense.
I thought this list was kinda dumb for the most part:
1. A renewed interest in all things Shady
Would have happened regardless, what with Recovery and Detox, but this definitely doesn't hurt to get some fresh faces. Good point.
2. The official squashing of Eminem and Royce Da 5’9’s longstanding beef
It's been squashed for a while...
3. Shrewd lyricism returning to the mainstream
Just being on Shady doesn't make them any more mainstream.
4. Yelawolf connects Shady Records back with the South
Why is this a good thing? People in the South already bump Em anyways, he's not limited by region.
5. Friendly — or not — competition amongst rap's crews
OK point, but it WILL be friendly competition I gaurantee. Everyone's matured past the stupid beef drama.

We don't have the FreeSpeech to compare these two crews? One wack and one dope?

What the hell are you talking about dumbass, I was talking about sales and who's going to receive more hype; it was obvious YM dominated 2010. I'm a fan of YM regardless (well SOME of them)

FreeSpeech wrote:...chill. My apologies, I'm so used to everyone pitting them against each other I assumed that's what you were doing. And YM will obviously win solely because of release scheduling: Wayne and Drake are both supposed to drop albums. CIV alone will probably outsell all of Shady combined unless Eminem drops an album in 2011, which I doubt he will.

Isn't Detox being released under Shady Records as well?

No, it's on Interscope/Aftermath.

AnalKiddo wrote:Well there's most likely going to be 3 albums dropping under Shady Records this year then?
Yelawolfs album
Slaughterhouse album (maybe?)
D12 album
And YM has like 20 albums dropping but only a few actually do numbers
WELL YM will probably win the sales but it's still interesting since these 2 groups will be/are the hip hop icons
