As far as sales go...no. Eminem, alone, was enough to make the last decade extremely successful. Plus, nowadays even the big rappers are struggling to hit that "1 mill" mark, Em has been the first rapper in a very long time to do numbers like he's doing with Recovery

Attach Em's name to Slaughterhouse or Yelawolf, however...might equal success. Yelawolf already has tons of buzz, if he can produce some great music with Em's guidance, he could really sell a good amount. Slaughterhouse, every member is very talented, but together...their concepts fall short a lot. But, once again, with Em on the project, they might produce more great music

I really think this is the moment where Em needs to go back to producing and hopping on his roster's tracks. I mean, imagine Em and Yelawolf over one of Em's beats, I'm almost sure that would be class. The same with Slaughterhouse (Em needs to sign them individually, too, especially Royce). We haven't even really heard Em over one of his own beats in a while (as in, his recent music). The only one I can think of is Elevator, and Em was spitting great over that beat because it was his own. He didn't have to compromise anything to try to fit the beat. Em producing could make even Em's solo music better :y:

I actually agree with that about Em's beats, but truthfully when he was rhyming over his own beats that was the biggest complaint I read online

"All that money and his cheap ass gonna rap on his own whack beats??...........He need to go get people to give him better beats"

I always liked the way he sounded over his own shit, but it was non-stop bitching about it....... Of course with Em there will always be people bitching about something anyway I guess

FYI, "Elevator" wasnt the last self produced track, I'm pretty sure "Difficult" was self produced

Yeah, I thought about the Difficult thing, so that's why I had added "his recent music". I wasn't counting Difficult, since it was made in like 06 lol

Can't comment for Yela, still tryna get a opinion of him 1st but Slaughterhouse should be able to carry their own name. Judging from their album, they do have a few good songs which might do well, mainly because its an alternative to the norm which may be what some people are looking for

Cashis didn't flop :shakehead: :shakehead:

It was just a EP to get some hype
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Yelawolf has no mass appeal outside the south in my opinion.

Look on the back of every Eminem album, from The Eminem Show onward, and you'll see Shady Records on the back. He is signed as an artist on his own label....
