Editing/Making Collage Of MP3's - HELP

Basically doing a collage of mp3's for some work at college. Need any software where I can edit mp3's and then put them onto a timeline into one big file.

Free software that doesn't need installation (my PC is messed up atm) or any software already on the PC would be best.
