That was the first time someone said that to me, so I'll give you points for originality.

Oh I forgot that you're only allowed to say good things about a rapper?

Suck my dick faggot.

H Cubed is right, Bun B is similar to Rick Ross, but he's "old and from the golden age" so that means he's good? Who gives a shit.

Honestly? Yes, he is overrated by the artists in the scene. Underrated by the public, but heavily overrated by his fellow rappers. He is alright, but not that good. But some fellow rappers put him on a way to high pedestal, like HipHopHead said. I give him credit for his grind, he has been long in the game, but his verses are generic and not that special.

What a riposte, you should win an award of sharpest wit of the year good sir.

And notice how I didn't even drop my opinion on him, I wouldn't have said shit if you actually backed up your points instead of tryin to be edgy. With "Oh look, this thread says underrated rapper? I'm going to be a prick and say he's overrated for no reason other than trying to look cool".

No I'm saying he's overrated because I think he's overrated. You don't have to pull out a 5 paragraph essay backing up your point everytime you post.

For the record I love UGK.

Don't pull appeal to motives mister, and don't ever compare him to Rick Ross that's just disgraceful. The Beastie Boys are great rappers, btw, what are you saying.

Absolutely not.

Bun B is a legend, along with Pimp C, Scarface, 8Ball & MJG and such.

Rick Ross is NOT a legend.

Bun B is the Southern equivalent to guys such as Rakim the East, or Ice Cube in the West.

I didn't say anything about his legacy did I?

The Furious 5 and Beastie Boys are legendary but they aren't great rappers.

Reply to the comment next time. Say something relevant and don't waste my time.

You missed my point.

I mentioned those guys not because of their legacy, but 'cause they're still making great albums.

When you've been in the game for 20+ years, and you're still releasing GREAT albums, that says something about you, doesn't it?

Maybe I didn't express myself correctly, but that's my point.

They're STILL great.
