How many rappers are actually making big $?

Okay, i'm gonna say making anything over $100,000 a year is very good. If I was making that much by rapping, I couldn't be happier. Like, where is the cutoff for rappers who are making big bucks? Internet searches only return numbers on the guys we already know are loaded. Like, how much is Wiz Khalifa making? What guys are making below a mil but living comfortably?

It's easy to point out who's raking in dough. But look, consider a rapper who has no endorsements, all their money comes from record sales. If they get 15% of sales, which from my understanding isn't unusual, and sell 250,000 records @ $10, that's only $375,000 before tax. And honestly, who's selling 250,000 records? Not many people.

10,000,000 a year? Not a chance. Even Eminem who's been having the best selling rap albums isn't making that much.

I'd say it varies from 500,000 to 3,000,000. Only from music, that is.

I just wanna know who's making a nice living but not getting rich, that's why I said 100K. I dubt most underground guys get to 100K.

You guys do know most rappers make under a dollar from each CD they sell.. It's about 20-50 cents a CD. Only the the top notch rappers make a few dollars off each CD

Actually that's wrong. The lesser known rappers make more off each CD cause they aren't under mainstream labels.

Well, he sold a million copies in his whole career, sold like 110k with KOD, does an insane amount of touring and is CEO (I think) of his own record label.

Maybe, I'm undermining the word rich but N9na definitely lives 100x better than your average American citizen.
