I just hope they all make great albums :flower:. I honestly don't care what label they all come from which is why I hate all those constant references to YM by their artists.

YM is without a doubt going to sell the most records but I personally prefer Yelawolf to any of them although I'm looking forward to hearing C4 and Drake's new album (just to hear if he has improved his rapping). It would be nice if Nicki Minaj could make an album with verses as good as the one she had on Monster.

I wouldn't look at it strictly Shady Records Vs Young Money

The faction that dominated in early 2000's was AFTERMATH. This is the millennium of aftermath. So I would definitely have to include Detox in the discussion too. I dunno..I just think they are synonymous with one another when talking about Eminem and Dre....and 50. This goes ten fold when you are discussing them against the competition....YM and GOOD/Roc Nation. etc

P.S. 50 ripped that "New Years Freestyle"....hopefully he keeps bringing the heat. Cause I think he can semi compete with tha carter 4.

As for tha Carter 4..your out of your mind if you think he's selling the same as carter 3. 2 mil would be exceptional. Look at the pther top rap releases...I mean Kanye only did a milli with a 5 star album.

In rap right now with sales.....it is a race for runner up. Seriously.

These are my predictions for next album first week sales.

Eminem - 750k
50 Cent - 250k
D12 - 230k
Slaughterhouse - 100k
Yelawolf - 100k
Cashis - 70k

The last three definetely depend on Em's involvement though and how big of a buzz they can get on their singles. If you count the individual members of Slaughterhouse and their albums, I'd say each has the potential to push 50k atleast, even though they aren't signed under Shady individually, but it still kinda counts.

Quick question: Is 50 still signed to Shady?
(Thought his last album was the last in his contract, did they give him a new album-contract?)

Eminem will probably sell more than that. His popularity these days is rising, by the time we get another Em album, people will be interested to hear post-Recovery shit

Well it should be Aftermath vs YM..then Aftermath would win, either Em gets out a new album or not(that in case we gonna hear Detox this year).
But as some of you said it here,it depends on how much Em will be involved in these albums. The more features with him, better the sales.
Can't really predict, for now we only have rumors abt Shady/Aftermath albums coming out this year, nothing confirmed :coffee:

Sale wise YM is gonna blow Shady away even if you count a possible new Eminem albums as a Shady Records one. C4 and a new Eminem album will basically cancel each other out in the sales battle. While solo Drake and Minaj albums, a Wayne+Drake and a Wayne+Birdman will easily beat the rest of the shady record albums.

However I think it's more relevant to put it as Shady/Aftermath vs. Young Money. With both Detox and a new Eminem album, possible 50 and D12 albums and if SH Yela and Cashis all drop (like thats gonna happen, this is Shady Records after all) Shady/Aftermath MIGHT come CLOSE to YM's guaranteed success.

Not true.

Nicki Minaj, Weezy & Drake are better than every single member of D12 (except Em)

Swifty >>> Minaj
Bizzare >>> Drake
Kuniva >>>>>>>>> Wayne

in terms of skill, yes even bizzare is better than drake who is as soft as cake.

and swifty and kuniva are sick as fuck, you really must know shit abt hip hop.

In terms of SKILL, Bizarre is the worst rapper alive (that makes money from what he does). Drake atleast has some multis, can craft an alright song and can sing a hook. Drake's slow flow with his bitch voice is annoying, but Bizarre doesn't even flow, he sounds like he's talking over a beat.

Anyways, unless Em releases a solo album, Young Money is definitely going to sell more than Shady Records unless Yelawolf or Cashis somehow instantaneously gets Drake-status hype.

Drake is a guarenteed 350k+, Nicki is 250k+, (Their second albums are definitely not going to have the same hype as their long-awaited debuts, so there's no way Drake or Nicki are selling that much again.), Carter 4 will be 500k+, T-pain will sell 100-150k, The Birdman Collab album will sell 200k+. Everyone else on that label will sell 90-140k.

Shady Records, Yelawolf definitely has potential to sell moderately good but with the hype he has now I'd say 100k+. Slaughterhouse will be 100k+. Cashis will be less than 100k. 50 Cent will sell 200k-300k. D12 will sell the same as 50 or less.

To everyone else, we aren't counting Detox because Aftermath isn't a part of Shady :facepalm, wtf? Em and 50 release their own albums under Shady/Aftermath, but Detox is definitely not going to have a "Shady Records" stamp on it. The comparison here isn't Interscope vs. Young Money or Em's camp vs. Wayne's camp, it is the label Em created vs. the label Wayne created.
