The movie Benjamin Button came out in December 2008. Of course it was a short story way before that, but the song was probably made when the movie was coming out because it was incredibly popular getting tons of awards and nominations. so this was probably for Relapse

Em hardly every makes UP TO THE MINUTE references. He's constantly referencing events and situations, and figures that were in their prominence a few years in his past.

That rhyming / flow = Recovery.

Plus the movie isn't the original source material of Benjamin Button. So it's an historic reference he could make at any point anyway.

So just because he mentioned Benjamin Button doesn't mean it was 2008. He could easily mention that in 2010 and like I said, the film isn't the original source, so means nothing. The flow and rhyming indicate it's Recovery.

It's funny how in Eminem's discography he has some of the most amazing songs ever, and I could listen to them for days and days as they are classic/timeless and fantastic music. But on the other side of the spectrum, he also has absoloute garbage like; Ass Like That, Big Weenie, Fack, & Just Lose It etc
