Nas- A street poet, crazy lyricist one of the best in the genre (Take it in Blood, Verbal Intercourse, Memory Lane, It Ain't hard to tell). Is also one of the most creative storytellers(Fetus, I gave you Power, Rewind, Project Roach) not to mention has arguably the best Hip Hop album of all time under his belt, a living legend.

Ghostface- Wu's most consistent member, dropped 3 classics and is one of the best storytellers in Hip Hop bar none. I also like his NY accent, and he knows how to do hardcore right. (Dayton 500, Nutmeg, Impossible, Gihad, Tony Montana) are some of his best songs, he's what Camron wishes what he could be.

Mobb Deep- In the 90s they were out of this world, Prodigy was on his way to being a A list mc up there with Nas, Jay z, Raekwon, Biggie, etc. He wasn't the most intricate mc in terms of lyrics though he did have some hard hitting tracks (Nighttime Vultures, Apostle's Warning, Frontlines, Streets Raised Me), but he had one of the best voice in rap and deliveries. There's a reason he's sampled so many times. It's a shame he's nowhere near he once was, but maybe his time in jail he'll have some decent raps, Havoc's been stepping it up as an mc though.

OC- Dude's criminally underrated and in 94 was one of the best mcess out there near Biggie and even Nas, his lyrics on word life also weren't the most intricate but they were sharp, and his delivery was fucking amazing(Constables, Point O Viewz, Day One, Born 2 Live). His classic debut's is slept on so much and is overlooked, Jewelz is also a great album not really a classic but still a great follow up and one of the few albums to survive the Jiggy Holocause during it's era. There's also rumors of him doing an album with Lord Finesse (another underated mc who fathered Big L's style) and Large Professer, not sure if it'll ever happen though, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it.

Biggie- All though overrated and might seem cliche (welll no more than Nas and Eminem in a top 10 :tounge2: ) he's a personal favorite. He embodied charisma on the mic and had one of the best deliveries in Hip Hop, and was a master storyteller who used some of Slick Rick's best techniques. Lyrically he wasn't Nas or even Eminem, but he had a way with words and boy did he make them work. It's also astounding to see him grow so much as an mc from R2D to LAD it's a shame the guy who died so soon and young 24 at that. It would have been fascinating to see if he would have grown as a lyricist and what paths he may have taken. (N iggas Bleed, Everyday Struggle, What's Beef, Victory are some of favorite songs)

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien- All I need to do is point to Deltron 3030 really, one of my personal favorite albums, and probably one of the most slept on West Coast albums. It showed that the West Coast isn't just a cesspool of Gangsta Rap (I love Gangsta rap btw, if it came of impyling that I don't) His album Both Sides of the Brain released on the same years is also pretty good, one great album and a classic on the same year that's beast.

Big K.R.I.T.- One of the new rappers I'm keeping my eye on his debut album was amazing and one of the best of last year. He's bringing lyricisim to the south (Yeah I know it has lyricisim before anyone jumps at me), and is breaking the stereotypical southern snap rap, hopefully he keeps it up. I'd like to see him go places.

K-os- Fuck Drake, Fuck Justin Bieber, here comes Canada's finest. He's sorta the odd man in that he isn't pure rap and sorta genre hopping, but who cares. He makes amazing music, and is one of the best at combining elements of different genres into one. He also self produces a large amount of his work, so Kanye you're not alone.

J live- Probably the most underrated rapper ever, it's damn shame as he blends lyricism like Nas and is conscious type rapper, yet he has an easily digestable flow. Definitely listen to The Best Part and All of The Above

Eminem- Big surprise, well what can I say no matter how much people like to play him off as overrated, and this and that. He's still probably the rapper to blend lyricism, flow, delivery, everything all into one. He's able to rip a beat to shred in freestyling, yet can make a song that touches and relates to you. Personallly I think he fell off post TES, and will never be as good again, but whatever.

Others I didn't mention Pac, Black Thought, Mos Def, Andre 3000, other members of the Wu, Aceyalone, even old Camron and Wayne. Yes Wayne if you don't like it shut the fuck up, he was one of the first few that really got me into the genre, obviously he makes steaming pile of shit he calles music now, but I used to always look out for whatever freestyles he had. I could care less about him now though.

no order

Eminem- Introduced me to rap, listened to him growing up and imo, an artist who has no flaws.

Kanye West- Since my list is based on who I listen to the most and songs I enjoy from favorite rappers, Kanye West is perfect. I love his productions and his songs even when he started using autotune.

Big L- Never heard his music til few months ago and was hooked on his music and his ability to rap. Sucks he died too early, could have had a bigger impact.

Crooked I I love his lyrical talent and the best member of Slaughterhouse imo.

Royce da 59- Introduced to his music because of Bad Meets Evil and was when I started getting into lyrics, worldplay, punchlines and everything else.

Lupe Fiasco- His style of music always was my favorite, he is seriously underrated.

T.I.- Liked him basically for the songs he put out but never listened to a whole album of his without skipping 3/4 of the tracks.

B.o.B When I first heard him, my mind was blown. I loved his music and was one of the rappers that I can listen to 24/7 everyday and still appreciate him. He is talented, playing instruments, making beats, singing and of course rapping.

Ludacris- The same thing I said for T.I. but he has much more songs I like and better rapper.

Drake- People will probably hate me for him on my list but he is a good rapper and singer. I really don't expect straight up lyrical talent like eminem but just good music.

Honorable Mentions:
Yelawolf- Found out his music throught Em signing him and started banging his music til the day I downloaded it. Not many rappers make my favorite list with just one major album.

Jay-Z- Considered one of the best rappers by people, I like some of his songs but haven't really heard any songs he is known for.

50 Cent- Ah, this guy, how can I not have him mentioned, if it wasn't for him for the song Candy Shop, I never would have been listening to D12 and importantly Eminem.

Immortal Technique- Speaks his mind and is a rap renegade.

Kid Cudi- Love this kids music, similar to Drake reason.

1. Eminem - don't argue with me

2. Tupac - had a big impact on my life and many others

3. Lupe Fiasco - Lyrically most people admit Lupe is near the best if not the best but this guy is underated at everything else. He has spot on delivery and point on flow. This and he made the greatest song ever made about skateboarding.

4. Nas - I don't really enjoy listening to him to much but I respect what he has done for Hip Hop.

5. Jay Z - He used to be my favourite but I don't really listen to him anymore. But I still get goosebumps every time I bring out Blueprint again.

6. Biggie - Just like Nas I don't really listen to him but clearly he makes good music.

7. Kanye West - A lot of people mistake me for a Kanye hater because I say MBDTF isn't the greatest album of all time or whatever but I still love all his albums greatly (exept for 80's of course). He makes up for his lyrical ability with his flare.

8. Andre 3000 - Andre Flow > Eminem Flow

9. Big L - Although overated (some say he's the greatest) he still has a place in the top 10.

10. T.I. - He is the only one out there right now going as hard as Em but this guy has a history of bad albums and failures.

Good list, I used to have those rappers in my top 10 a while back.

A little outdated but the truth is there haven't really been anyone that could jump in to this list. None are even close to good enough.
