Windows XP question

Postby Atone » Jan 26th, '11, 10:04

Ok, i have a laptop, and i just restored it to factory setting's, and then tried to download itunes for it again but it wouldn't download cuz i need service pack 2 or higher, so i downloaded service back 2, and after it installed it took me to the black screen where it says computer did not shut down propor,ly, and it kept going back to that screen, so i had to restore it back to factory setting's again, why won't service pack 2 work for my laptop? or do i need to install service pack 3?

i called tech support but some arab named steve coudn't help me unless i signed up for their subscription, which would probably mean i would have to rape 17 virgin's or some shit like that and then run thru a church screaming allah with a bomb in my shoe.....lol but seriously, help

^HDD = hard disk drive (hard drive space). Check the article below to see if your PC is eligible for SP2.

Processor
# SP2 only requires a Pentium processor running at 233 MHz, though Microsoft recommends a 300 MHz processor or better.

Memory
# SP2 requires 64 MB of RAM; Microsoft recommends 128 MB of RAM or more.
Computer Features
# You need a CD or DVD drive, a keyboard and a mouse to run SP2, in addition to a monitor running at 800x600, a sound card and a video card.

Hard Drive Space
# In order to install SP2, Windows XP must already be installed. Windows XP requires 1.5 GB of hard drive space.

The amount of hard drive space required for SP2 installation varies depending on whether you install from the Web or from an installation CD. When installing from the Web, SP2 takes up 895 MB of hard drive space, with a peak memory usage of 1060 MB during the installation. When installing from a CD, SP2 takes up 1455 MB of hard drive space, with a peak memory usage of 1560 MB during the installation.
