he top of next week's chart may once again set a new low for sales of the #1 album. Two titles are battling it out right now, with a third in contention as a possible spoiler. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:

Terrible sales. Over 300 million people in the US and the #1 album is only 35-40k. Whilst in the UK the #1 album this week will be 140k-200k. Never seen the UK so far ahead.

I think something needs to be done to save these crazy low sales. The only way labels can save album sales now would be to decrease the price of albums from week 1.

Good week, even Curtain call has moved up places, and has been in top 100 for a few weeks.
Cant believe lose yourself is at #62. I know someone said the price went down, but still, that couldnt make that much of a difference, surely? I hope it makes top 40 next week, theres a good chance it will if it keeps sellin like it did this week. Also Not Afraid has jumped back into the top 100, all good It also shows how No Love didnt chart well, think its peak in UK was #33 (if i remember right). With the Grammys coming up, Eminem could be charting well in the UK for the next month

^^ Yeah a dozen or so pre-itunes songs were reduced last week in the UK from 99p to 59p. Lose Yourself will probably hold up in the #60s next week as its at #58 on iTunes at the moment. Just amazing what price reduction can do for music. I think Not Afraid is becoming like Lose Yourself where it will probably always be about on iTunes and constantly sell for a long time. If he wins big at the Brits Recovery should see a nice increase.
