I mean look at the fucking rhymes

Screaming go/teen year old

If he actually meant for that to rhyme, that rhyme sucks. Year and ing do not rhyme.

Tackle/man would.

Doesn't rhyme whatsoever.

guess it pours/yes it does

Doesn't rhyme whatsoever.

volcano/all I know/walk away though

None of that rhymes

And inverse rhymes are the stupidest thing ever. It adds nothing to a song.

Actually, it adds plenty. Even if you're not consciously aware of the inverse rhymes, the mere sound of what he's doing adds to the song. I think everyone here subconsciously knew there was more to Eminem's songs than those of other rappers, they just hadn't put their fingers on it yet.

The problem with you is you're the type of idiot who only listens for end rhymes. And if you have a problem with most of the examples in this thread rhyming, you shouldn't be listening to rap.

I understand rhymes and writing more than anyone else on this board. If you've looked at any of my pieces you know I care about a lot more than end rhymes lmfao.

Of course the end rhymes actually rhymes...I'm just pointing out that some of these internals you guys are reaching for, and if Eminem actually meant for them to rhymes...they suck.

How can a rhyme suck? It either rhymes or it doesn't.

God ^^ :worship:

I'm not trying to sound cool, it's not an impressive skill. How do you not hear rhyming words? If they rhyme, they rhyme. You shouldn't have to pay attention and look out for rhymes.

It's not that we dont hear them bro, obviously we all hear them, and we recognize that there's alot of rhyming and it sounds great, but we just don't register what we're hearing. We don't give it any thought as to whats rhyming where and how and with what. Most people listen to a song for entertainment, not to study lyrics and the technicality of rhymes. They are simply over-looked.

Its not like "omgeh1!!11 i just found out da werds blew and chew rhyme!!1!!11"

its more like:

Holy fuck, in these four bars :
But they can't see what I can see there's a vacancy in my tummy
It's makin' me play hide n' seek like Jason I'm so hungry
She's naked see no privacy but I can see she wants me
So patient see I try to be but Gee why does she taunt me

He is rhyming:

"they cant see/vacancy/making me/naked, see/i can see/patient see/why does she/"

but at the same time in between those hes rhyming :

"I can see/hide n seek/privacy/i try to be/gee why does she/"

and it literally goes on like throughout the entire song..

Do you have any idea how complex that is? how difficult that is? Stay wide awake is EASILY his most underrated song. It is easily top 3 best em songs ever..

Your lyrics aren't even 5% as detailed as Eminem's. Sorry. You don't grasp the significance of what he's doing.

Explain please.
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

"Soft-Punk looking" is according to this thread an inverted rhyme for "nookie or bosom". So it's like a palindrome, syllable-wise. lol
