I hardly call that a tribute. He was speaking more on how it affected him specifically, and how he hated it.

Well it was my favourite song off Paid In Full, and the whole album pioneered rap in the late 80's to step up lyrical skill. Rakim and Big Daddy Kane are probably the two biggest pioneers, but i gotta tribute my favourite track from Paid In Full.

I actually listened to Paid in full today. It's simply just a sick album (Follow the leader is hist best though). It's crazy how a track from the 80's still is so far ahead of its time.

Big daddy kane is lyrically quite one-dimensional which I reckon is why his reign on the top was quite short. Still he is one of the most skilled rapper there has ever been.

Ain't ever seen anyone have a Gimmick or Charisma as Big Daddy Kane, he was one of the biggest pioneers. He is an inspiaration to almost every good rapper out there. His verse on 'The Symphony' is sick. 'Long Live The Kane' was a great album, he had some funny punchlines. No one could do 'braggadocio' as good as him in my opinion. Always loved Kane, but i wish he never went to the Dark Prince gimmick, his swag changed a lot, he may not have as clever punchlines as 90's rap, but that's only because the likes of him pioneered that.

Though Paid In Full is a great album, i loved all the albums with Rakim & Eric B, yeah Follow The Leader has some great poetry on it, the single on that album is my favourite single by them.
