For people who think sales/charts are everything

Answer this question, as a little test.

Eminem currently has twenty "top 20" singles in America, on the Billboard Hot 100. It will probably be 21 in a week or so, with INAD looking set to become the 21st, but as of now....it's 20.

I didn't plan this lol and it's ironic, but out of all his top 20 singles, how many of them would you say are in your top 20 Eminem songs of all-time list?

I've counted 2/20

Lose Yourself & Sing For The Moment. They are the only songs that would make it.

How about you?

(Answer honestly too. It won't work otherwise)

I'm trying to prove once and for all for those select few who still think this way, that CHARTS MEAN FUCK ALL. Renegade is often cited as one of Em's greatest, and it didn't chart.

Superman and Cleaning out My Closet are in Em's top 20.

Not Afraid and LTWYL are borderline.

I'm not even including songs that didn't even chart in this post right now, (like Renegade, Kill You, Criminal, Till I Collapse etc) but from those which did...

Stan - #51
The Way I Am - #58
8 Mile Road - #102
Hailies Song - #113
No Apologies - #121

^ Those lower chart position songs SHIT ALL OVER the majority of his top 20 hits.

Lose Yourself, Without Me, The Real Slim Shady, Cleanin' Out My Closet, Sing For The Moment.

Top 21-40: Mockingbird, Superman, Beautiful. Not sure about Love the way you lie even though I like it a lot.

I'm quite surprised that Stan isn't there.

Eminem has had a quite remarkable career (surprise). Most of his early songs had hard beats but still got recognized by the mainstream. I don't think many rappers can say they've had much commercial success without choosing cheesy, radio friendly beats.

Only 2, but Superman & Cleanin Out My Closet are pretty close to enter the chart, i'll place them on number 21 & 22. My list will go something like this, sometimes the songs can trade places, it depends on my mood, but firt 4 song will never change

1. Rock Bottom
2. Still Don't Give A Fuck
3. Marshall Mathers
4. Sing For The Moment
5. Till I Collapse
6. Lose Yourself
7. Soldier
8. Just Don't Give A Fuck
9 The Way I Am
10. Role Model
11. Say Goodbye To Hollywood
12. Rabbit Run
13. Criminal
14. Stan
15. No Apologies
16. 97 Bonnie & Clyde
17. Drug Ballad
18. Brain Damage
19. Kill You
20. If I Get Locked Up Tonight

Probably 4.

Lose Yourself
Sing For The Moment
When I'm Gone
Not Afraid

But this is a very true point. Most of Eminems best songs dont get the chance to be singles.

These songs that all of you are mentioning weren't even singles so of course they wouldn't of done well on the charts.

Lol recall me, thats weird. its a top 10 song and you just can't denie that, everything about the song is immense. About putting it on number 2 its just my own taste, everybody can palce it wherever he wants. Im curious to see you're list, and where SDGAF stands there

Why was Stan so unpopular in America when it did so well everywhere else?
