it's commercialised and it won't change, because ppl buy cd's, watch videos with big cribs, cars, women etc. g-unit leads in this 'race' if you can call it so. what annoys me most, is fact, that everybody says "yeah, rap is black people's music, it came from poor black districs etc.", but if we didn't know it, you couldn't think that rap is music of poor black communities. look at their chains, belts.. that's why i think eminem is better than others - he doesn't show that he's got money all the time, he doesn't rap about the same thing all the time.. i don't know who's responsible and how to change it.. but sometimes i wish i know.

i think rap/ hip hop music got all commercialied back when Will Smith was very big...thats when people in other races started noticing it and after that its been on the mainstream, now a days you got "rappers" that have shoe deals, energy drinks, clothes, cars...basically if youre a rap artist you gotta put yourself out there and get on commercials sellin you shit, theres no way to stop it cuz Hip Hop is in its time where you can sell any little thing to anyone..and even if you dont buy it, people around the world are.
