Well there's a different between bad and average for me. I would class average as decent, not necessarily bad. Though let me use Sag My Pants for example a single what most people know. He doesn't spit anything good he just takes shots at people, the only good on it is the vocals with the beat, he flows very well and raps with good pace. But the lyricism is average at most. Besides mocking Drakes flow on his diss. There's nothing decent about it. The braggadocio in it was pretty weak to. But he has a few songs like that.

Though songs like Nocturnal Rainbows were good, and songs i enjoyed on the album.

Hopsin is like the MMLPs Eminem .. well .. NIKKA-Eminem

he had some mockers "The Real Slim Shady , Sag My Pants" .. but he also had some deep shit "The Way I Am , You Are My Enemy" .. and some completely insane funny pieces of shit "Under The Influnces , Baby's Daddy"

but that doesn't say he's a bad lyricist .. of course he is nothing but punchlines in some songs .. but so is eminem .. We Made You and shit .. You Are My Enemy , I'm Not Introducing You , I Am Raw , Where Will I Go .. these are all dope songs with great lyricism in it

just think what will a guy think of Eminem's lyrics when the first song he heard was Without Me

You state a good point, though you can't argue at the fact that Eminem's version of songs, is way better than Hopsins lyrically. I don't see Hopsin as who the hell is this guy to diss all these, like we wudda been that with Eminem if he did release Without Me at the birth of his career. Though i just think Hopsin's lyricism is very dull, where Eminem had good lyrics in Without Me, and much better flow, ''Infesting, your Kids ears and nesting''. Just most of the stuff Eminem said he said it in good ways and stated a good point about it. Where Hopsin doesn't. Do you get what i mean?, you compare without me and sag my pants by lyrics and Eminem's a certified winner.
