I didn't know she ever did, but can you blame her? She grew up poor, she worked as a waitress before getting signed. If one of the most popular rappers, regardless of how much they suck, offered you a life changing deal you could use to give your fam a better life, wouldn't you take it? 99% of the people I hear who bitch about artistic integrity and not selling out have never been dirt poor. Is it selling out for someone to work at McDonalds because it's a huge corporation that makes cheap, unhealthy food and targets kids? Nah, so why are musicians held to higher standards?

I would in a heartbeat, if I got offered a major record deal i'd put out the same wack shit soulja boy does & freestyle my entire album in one take over catchy beats. I wouldn't mind signing to some big company then because all the shit i'd put out under their label would be wack as fuck and wouldn't mean shit in a couple years so they can keep it. Then after getting enough money from being some wack mainstream fag i'd let my contract end, start my own record label and put out good music under it & i'd own all that shit myself.

She grew up about 15 minutes away from where I did in JQ, and I can tell you straight out that from my time, there's been no bigger change of a person than the one with her.

What she is now is a complete opposite of what she was when she was growing up.

She already had the deal with Young Money who were paying her to a good amount not to sign with anyone else. Then she did get the full Young Money contract and had a huge chance to take put her stamp down on the female rap scene with her album, despite her pathetic gimmick and some of her previous shit features, which I gave her a pass for because she had to get noticed. She now had the attention, and with her album had the opportunity to showcase her real skills...the result? She went even FURTHER left and crossed the lines 5/6 times and made a complete pop album with atrocious lyrics and no message. She's now a gimmick and a disease.
