don't give a fuck if this is the correct place...

i just got a 2nd job as a ramp agent (i load luggage into planes pretty much), and i'm mad happy. gonna be caked up. i have a week of classes next week, then a week of training in columbus, ohio. So anyone live there?

Congrats tom! I have worked several jobs at the airport, including ramp handling. It can be hard work but it can also be very quiet at times. Besides, working with aircrafts can be pretty cool.

Well, if you actually do just ramp handling you'll be driven around with a group of co-workers to different platforms and load/unload luggage from the plane. Sometimes you have to get in the bulk yourself to make sure they are stacked right and sometimes you stand at the bottom throwing bags on the conveyer belt. There is also the chance that you have to drive around in a 15mph car with carts/ULDs hooked to the back, which is quite a nice job. You drive the carts around from the loading area to the platforms.
