They don't seem as natural as they once did though, sometimes almost forced.
I'm thinking Rock Bottom, The Way I Am, Lose Yourself, Renegade.....where it's just effortless.

Sorry, you're usually quite a good poster but accusing others of being close-minded while saying Eminem only is/was good at multis is a bit of a contradiction.
I agree he has fallen off but that doens't mean he doesn't release good music. I can enjoy his new music even if it isn't as good as his prime stuff. Most rappers/artists who keep going fall off eventually, some more than others of course.
His only real forte was multies, yes. If it wasn't for his multies, he wouldn't be as praised as he was/is. Sure, his content was good, too. But it was his multies that made him earn a spot next to the emcees of Jay-Z, Nas, and Rakim's stature.

stillmatic wrote:I think his emotion and storytelling puts him alongside those guys, not just his multies.
When it comes to storytelling, only the likes of Slick Rick and Nas are above him, and when it comes to emotion only the likes of Tupac and Ice Cube have him covered.
mcZu wrote:Eminem fell off, end of it. If you disagree? Then so be it. The only thing Eminem was good at, was multies, even that isn't nowhere near it was.
There are numerous rappers that outshine Eminem, in almost all aspects. But you guys will still say ''Eminem has this certain mystique, he strings words together like no one ever does'' bla bla bla. If the majority of you guys were really open-minded, and not so much in Eminem's ass, you guys would appreciate music more in general.
Take this how you want to take it, if you take heat to this, then take heed to this: this is the internet, get used to it.
Yes, I'm mad.

Straight gawbage, homie.
And sorry, I appreciate other rappers...I'm just not so self-conscious about the implications of saying a white guy is the greatest rapper ever that I write nonsense like, "there are MANY better rappers than Eminem, they just don't get da publicity and hype!"
No, there aren't. Eminem's songs can be broken down for years and you'll still discover new things about them. He's the best because he HAD to be.

This however, wtf is this bullshit? All you're doing is playing appeal to motives here so it's not even worth addressing.
No, Eminem had substance in his lyrics, but he's not fucking Shakespeare.
EminemInsider wrote:Because it's the elephant sitting in the living room. People don't use that same line when talking about Nas, Rakim, Big L, and other pretty much universally renowned black greats. Why not?
Eminem is the one rapper everyone tries to put an asterisk beside..."overhyped because of this, that, and this." His brilliance not only sails over the head of the people who remain unimpressed by him, but also by most of those who ARE fans of his. The "hip hawp elitists" don't know the first thing about rap skill, despite their arrogance The teen girls and general public "Eminem is the greatest ever, I love his music becuz it's so meaningfulz" folks don't know anything, either. Most people don't have any idea WHY he's so good.
Nobody who listens objectively can make a technical argument for another rapper being better. You can say you "prefer" another rapper...that's all a matter of opinion...but technically speaking, you're arguing against the Michael Jordan of rap.
Shakespeare? Appeal to a cliche...you have no clue what you're talking about.
