The only reason most of you dislike soccer is because you can't relate to it. You don't have a great league and teams to root for, it doesn't really live in the USA.

...and most of them idolise a game which was modeled on a game that was formed in Europe (Rugby), and dismiss a sport that is popular throughout Europe and the rest of the world (Football/Soccer)

They don't really embrace Football because they aren't very good, and they aren't the #1 team in the world, and America always have to be #1....so they make their own sport (American Football) where no one else gives a fuck. By making American Football, they use RUGBY as a model for it (which originated in England), tweak it a little bit and Americanise it....... and thus becomes what it is.
