Why are people considering Lupe? he may be overrated by his fan base but every rapper has fans that overrate them to a extent, Lupe's no were near overrated.

Well there all overrated really, Lil Wayne far too overrated in terms of lyricism, 90 precent means absaloutly nothing and weak punchlines, anyone can just think of good playing with phrases and words if you just sat down and done it all day. Rap isn't about just punchlines, and to consider him a brilliant rapper is foolish. Drake is untalented, below average singer, but take that away and look at his skills and you wouldn't see any, besides copying Lil Waynes punchline method and pointless lyrics. And i don't think he's touching at all. Kanye West, Kanye is a great producer, though most of the time average lyricist, he's got better after a bit of learning, but he's not god like. Eminem, obviously eminem is a good rapper but far overrated for a top 10, i would class Em outside a top 20 with all the good rappers i've heard. Eminems lyricism can be dull as hell compared to alot of rappers, but he's very good vocally, well not now he isn't, also his flow is horrible. Jay-Z, Jay is no doubt a great rapper, he's a forced rhymer, and he can't touch hearts or hardly appeal. But he's fantastic at metaphors and his tripple meanings, he's just very forced a lot of the time, can be very overrated however. 50 Cent, heard some decent stuff, he was almost good when he first started out and now he is a very very very dull lyricist.

You think Eminem has a horrible flow? Are you serious or did I misinterpret that?

Okay so screaming on half track on Recovery, going in the same direction, and out of tune with the beat is good flow?.

Okay so screaming on half track on Recovery, going in the same direction not even in tune with the beat is good flow?.

Cinderella Man? Untitled? On Fire? W.T.P? Seduction? Almost Famous (yeah he screams, so what the flow is good)?

3/4 of Recovery isn't like you just depicted it to be.

Cinderella Man was an absoloute dull flow, he had no direction what so ever, On fire is just the same, Space Bound, Wont Back Down, W.T.P, Cold Wind Blows, Seduction, Talking To Myself & Love The Way You Lie. That's probably more than half too, all those songs he's the same he's going in no direction he's just rapping like he's doing it on no beat. Sure he can put some emotion into it, but he's still going in no direction.

Im not surprised to see Lil Wayne with over half the vote, even though my vote went to Drake.
If he was the "best rapper alive" (does he still consider himself to be?) , then i wouldn't find myself hitting next everytime his annoying voice comes on.

Perfect example, the Travis Barker song feat Game, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. I like Game's verse, but as soon as Wayne come's on i just switch the song because he honestly sounds like a remedial on the mic. I've yet to make it to Rick Ross' part. Whatever Wayne says about eons and leons and beyond just sounds straight up retarded. I don't know what people find amusing about his rapping, unless people are entertained by just how ridiculous he sounds.

Wayne has had tolerable and good songs in the past, but he seems to have lost whatever skill he ever had. I guess that explains why he went all auto-tune on us for a while, because he just can't do it normally anymore.

:facepalm First critiquing Hopsin, saying he has terrible lyrics and now saying 3/4 of Recovery is terrible.

I don't get what you mean when you say "no direction". All I know is that Cinderella Man & Seduction are near perfect
