Guys he's clearly not dissing 50 cent either.

What he's saying is that because Em fitted in, he inspires black rappers to try and mimic him. That line isn't about any rapper, he's just speaking in general terms. That is, the way Eminem looked up to black rappers when he was starting up, Lupe wished of a world where at the time Eminem came up, black rappers could look at him and try and mimic him. The 'mimic' is not said in a negative manner either.

Then he mentions 50 Cent in that maybe in a different world a white rapper like 50 Cent existed and was signed by Eminem. This little line here can be taken in many ways - where he's referring to the type of life 50 Cent came from, the idea that Eminem could sign a white rapper like that and that not just black rappers like 50 Cent existed. It's mostly a shot at the system, nothing but style and grace when mentioning 50's name though. In fact, its a line that makes you think a lot, and makes you wonder what if a white rapper like 50 existed.

Thats probably true but Lupe is still imo doing it better then anyone out there. But anyway he get back to normal on his next album when he's gone from Atlantic

Also this.

Lupe has made it known that this album will be very different. It's his last on Atlantic.

The fact that he has two albums this year allows for him to have the freedom to do what he wants.

Also I agree in some aspects that at times he's reaching, however we should praise him for trying to expand his work. Who are we really to try and halt an artists freedom? It's clear Lupe does not like to be caged in, and he's worked hard for the freedom he has now that so many other rappers would kill to have, that is the opportunity to record in the manner they want.

I completely agree that Lupe is trying way to hard.... I was a big fan of Food n Liquor and The Cool, and still am, but this album IMO is not worth the money... I really don't even care for it. BTW whats up with all the racial talk... RACISM is OVERRATED and the more people speak on this issue (yes it's 2011 but surprisingly it is STILL an issue) the more it grows and evolves into pure hate... I think it is way worse now than it was in the 90's. let it go... and before people go pointing the finger at a certain race they should seek some knowledge, open a book and brush up on their history. The white man, black man, red man, or yellow man is not the enemy... The war is not about race, it's about people with power oppressing the ones without it.
