Tupac Statue To Be Unveiled In Atlanta Next Month

Postby eminemcaparica » Aug 27th, '05, 02:47

I'm thrilled to see that big respect is being paid in Atlanta to Tupac Shakur by way of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation( http://www.tasf.org/ ), the site was constructed in remembrance of the late rapper. The Grand Opening took place on June 11 and now the foundation will be unveiling a 7-foot statue of Tupac on September 13, the nine-year anniversary of his death.

Though long overdue, I'm happy to see this happen. I'm especially thrilled that everything is taking place in Atlanta, a place so rich with history already, and this memorial site will do nothing but add to the culture that we have embraced so deeply in Atlanta. Though still under light construction, I had a chance to visit the site and it is definitely worth seeing.

"This statue will serve as a reminder to all of those who visit the Peace Garden of Love and Hope, for peace is something my son always held in his heart. This sculpture and the Center that sorrounds it will carry Tupac's message on down to our children's children." says Afeni Shakur, Tupac's mother.

I don't hate Tupac or anything but I don't see how everyone thinks he's the best rapper ever. Is it his voice? Lyrics? What he's been through? I don't get it. I personally think that even Stat Quo is better than Tupac, but that's just me.

i' not tring to atack you, i'm just explaining you, some people cannot see what 2pac have special, what make 2pac so important, why he is the ultimate gangsta, the best lyrical, the one, the stronger... i can't say all the tupac references, because it is impossible. but i think what make tupac so unice is his caracter and his soul. he was so bad, and at the same time so good- i tell this because his songs, he make Better daiz, Do for love, Brenda got a baby, Changes, Dear Mama, Keep ya head up, Unconditional love, Life goes on, R u still down? , To Live And Die In L.A,Letter to my unborn child, who do you believe in, Until the end of the time................. All this songs transmite some strange wave that can make us cry, or make us think 4 hours, really it's crazy.

and then we have the Furious songs, Still ballin, Never be peace, Military minds, Troublesome '96, I Get Around, 2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted, Hail Mary (Use by Eminem to diss ja rule) , Trapped, Thug Style, Definition Of A Thug Nigga, When I Get Free, Hold On Be Strong, 16 On Death Row, AND THE 2 MUSICS THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET: Hit' E Up & Hellrazor............... those are really powerfull songs, really amazing songs, i can't explain how good they are.

alot of people can see what Tupac is all about, and others can't, whi do you think he is so popular?

No-ones wrong here, I just can't see why he's special, but I understand that people do think he's special, that's about it. I'll never understand why he's so great, but Tupac to you is probably like Eminem or Busta to me.

yeee, eminem is very important to me to, tupac and eminem, for me, are at the same level. but i see you point man, it's normal. but you should see the ressurection, the tupac movie, made by his mother. try to see the movie, and then you can talk of what you think about tupac.

whats so great about tupac was his message he brought to the world and how he put the world to rights. the man was a genius in acompletely differnt way than eminem. people didnt love him jus for his rappin it as a person and how he made you think in a different way.
put it this way if eminem was a shit rapper no one would really care about him whereas if tupac was he would still be amazin on a different level than any rapper that ever lived
