Sure you can, it's called "personal classic." :coffee:

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

I'm not throwing around the word classic, i just named my favourite albums from each year...
Konseptic wrote:I don't see them all as classics obviously, but i think they all deserve a mention in each year, whether it be for brilliant lyrics or cultural impact

I don't know where 'really good album' end and where 'classic' begins, it's a matter of opinion, it's hard to define something as a classic or not as a classic, especially with all the sub-genre's of rap-
eg. Would you consider 'The Documentary' a classic West Coast album? Personally, i would, i really enjoy listening to the album and therfore would call it a classic, whether it is an actual classic is a matter of opinion, lyrically, it isn't, but in other ways i would call it a classic.
It's not in the same league as 'The Marshall Mathers LP' lyrically, neither is it in the same league as Illmatic, It doesn't have a massive concept like 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx', and it didn't change the game like '36 Chambers', but all the tracks slot into each other nice and smooth and it fits into the history of rap as does all the other albums above.
Recovery, R.A.W, Distant Relatives, The Cool, The Documentary, Season Of The Assasin & Slaughterhouse are my stand out albums since 2004, they are my favourites even though they maybe aren't the best albums (lyrically) that have come out in the last 7 years :b:
So if I should ever fall and get caught in a hustle
Let them know that I died while I fought in a struggle
From the hoodrats to rich kids lost in a bubble
Spray paint it on the streets and in the subway tunnels
Write it down and remember, that we never gave in
The mind of a child is where the revolution begins
So if the solution has never been to look in yourself,
How is it that you expect to find it anywhere else?

Although the thread is a good idea, it -much like other good ideas on this forum- has turned into a mocker of itself. I cannot knowingly partake in such debauchery.
