Public Enemy - Shows shut down and media refusing airplay

Tupac - Politicians high up including Presidential candidates demanding end to his music
Snoop Dogg - Being banned from countries such as England.
Eminem - Misogyny, homophobia, drugs & violent content accusations.
Ludacris - MIsognistic accusations leading to endorsement pull outs.
50 Cent - Misogny, drugs, violence and criminal content accusations.
Dead Prez - Shows being cancelled due to their political content.

Great answer, thanks for the input. NWA, 2LC, and Pac top that list IMO.

I don't wanna be a dick about it, but yeah, it's very silly to say DMX ain't mainstream.

At one point he was the biggest rapper in the US.

If DMX ain't mainstream because he's not that well known outside of the US, then neither is the likes of Jay-Z who's biggest efforts overseas before he became Mr.Knowles (as 50 likes to call him) were almost irrelevant.

DMX had big #1 movies too with the likes of Jet Li, Steven Segal etc. He was the lead actor for many of these movies too.
The New York Times - "Lloyd Banks may have stealthily become the most important rapper in New York".

All of this is pointless white noise garbage who cares how popular Eminem is, and if he sold a biollion records. The question was how offensive his music is, and no i'm not saying DMX is more controversial than Eminem or doesn't say more foul shit in his music but your not even addressing his question.
