Well yes, I do feel that the 8 Mile Soundtrack tracks were the next progression from The Eminem Show. They felt big and cinematic and yes I know he made them to accompany the movie but, his production on those tracks and... the energy put into them, I really feel that could / should of been the next step.

He took some of that spirit onto Encore with tracks like "Evil Deeds", "Yellow Brick Road" and "Mosh" but it (the same mindset) and HE was mostly lost. Encore was like him struggling to find the next step, and in that I agree that he had already found it in 8 Mile - in the style and presentation, and too quickly hopped off it.

I can say that ive never wanted Eminem to make songs for the Grammy voters...Early on when I became an EMinem fan, he was far from mainstream...You say he got robbed of a Grammy...Do you know what songs he was up against...I may even agree with you that he had song of the year, but it's weird that you care..
