I sent this girl a picture of my dick.
I don't know what it is with females
But I'm not too good with that shit.

I'll never understand people who consider it a classic. No great album has ever had songwriting that bad. The production is easily a 10/10 but the songwriting is quite average so it's only a solid album any day of the week for me.

No, it's not even close for me. Production is not the only thing that makes an album a classic.

Of course not.

The term 'classic' is used and tossed around way too much for my liking. It should be reserved for true, genuine outstanding/groundbreaking/innovative and timeless pieces of music. And this isn't one of them.

AND it's barely even been out a couple of months. No album should ever be awarded classic status after such a short length of time. It can take years to decipher whether something is timeless or not, no one can predict the future.

You have every right to like the album, and you have every right to call the album one of your personal favourites, as it's your opinion and whatever you like is whatever you like. But I don't think it's a classic album, objectively speaking.

Yes, a landmark album in hip hop

I love the concept, (which I still think is going over peoples heads( amazing production, its perfectly sequenced, some of THE best drum programming and sampling EVER on a hip hop album, and Kanye shows very decent mic skills on here - the fact that people usually say So Appauled and Monster are the weak points of this album just shows its quality

the only thing I have against MBDTF is some of the mastering, and a few of the guests don't add much to their respective tracks (though for me, they don't take anything away from them either)
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

People are taken away by different things but its only when i saw the movie that comes with the video that i went :o ... album is dope. The visuals just add a dimension which (i think) took lots of time and effort. I respect that "dedication to the craft"

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

I bet 99% of people don't even realize the concept behind this album, hence the "shitty lyrics" accusations...

It's a solid album, but not a classic.

Lol no not even close.

I'm a huge kanye west fan, I was so excited to hear he was doing a rap album and not another 808 type thing. I bought this album thinking it would be great and it was a huge let down. It's nothing compared to his first three albums, and it's only like 20 minutes of kanye west on it. It's been completely overrated in the hip hop world and by black media.

If anyone else released this, it would suck. It's the undeserved ego that kanye has that brought this album up...

If only Souljah Boy had a cool concept to excuse his awful lyrics then. Not having a go, but seriously... To be fair the example I used before doesn't reflect the general lyrical quality of the album but I struggle to think of any classic album that has lines that bad.

I love how he included Gill Scott Heron on the album :y: Nobody seems to praise that.
