Inspirational rap songs?

Postby vermin » Mar 11th, '11, 06:43

I was so depressed last year, and I made huge changes this January. I don't drink anymore, stopped with Xanax, and I started a weight loss program. And I'm looking for songs that I could listen to when I'm exercising. Positive songs, here's some examples:

Eminem - Not afraid, Lose Yourself
Diddy (or whatever his name is now) - I'm coming home
Proof - By Myself

And I don't really know much more of this kind of songs. Could you reccommend some?

Thanks in advance! :y:
There will be my signature. It'll be a hot one. You'll look at it and say - wow that's a gangsta signature.

FreeSpeech listed some songs I used when I was runnin' last year. :p

For your objetive, I think all dancin' songs might work, not only rap.

I could think of:
U2 - "Sunday bloody sunday" (military drums) or "Pride (In the name of love)"
Mary J Blidge - Family affair
Linkin Park - "Points of authority" or, maybe, "forgotten"
Kutt Calhoun - "Killa city" or "Naked (Boom Boom Room)"
Some Tech N9ne bangers, he has a lot.

I made a whole CD of bangers, but it fucked up. So I used a pen drive.

You can fill a whole media with like 100 or more songs that you find bangin' or motivational in your folder and put to play random. That what I do when I workout at home. I use the rhythm to move constantly on the machines or prevent me to get lazy on abdominals.

I'm coming back to the work out when the holiday passes this weekend, I'm too lazy, but the muscles were gettin good cuz do it at home is better, I can do it anytime and take a bath after.

Lil Jon - Act a Fool

This song is by Ludacris, as far as I know.

First of all, I want to congratulate you on being sober.
It takes strong will to overcome such problems, I don't know if I'd be able to do that.

As for the songs, it depends whether you want inspirational songs or workout songs.

I'm too distracted right now to think of songs, but I can recommend some artists.

Workout:

M.O.P.
Busta Rhymes
Lil Jon
Xzibit
G-Unit
Ludacris
Onyx
Ice Cube
DMX
Method Man & Redman

Inspiration:

Cormega
Nas
Blu
Tonedeff
Eminem
Common
Talib Kweli
CunninLynguists

Hope I've helped a bit.
...The mortician of love, sent from above
Forced entry, the more wenchy, the more stingy I become
Been doing this for more than a quarter century, I'm just numb...

Inspirational and/or gym music - almost every DMX and Tupac song ever made.

Big ups for the changes you've made too homie. Well done.

Edit - actually you know what, rather than the usual "every song" comment, I'll give you a starting platform, you deserve it bro.
