The list was made according to the available financial documents.
Maybe Em got less than 100$ or maybe his manager and lawyers didn't give enough information.
Furthermore, he probably established a trust fund or something similar to provide some degree of financial security for his children (cash, property, stocks, bonds, and so on). I don't think Forbes can consider these money, because he can't touch them and I don't know if they are included in the taxable income.
Finally Em doesn't diversify his portfolio, so Forbes considered just music royalties and the commercials.

Quite logical since artrists don't get rich because of their music/selling CDs but because of their tours (Em only did how many concerts total in 2010?) and their advertisement deals.

I don't know why you would think Forbes couldn't be wrong. A lot of that sh1t is confidential. Eminem has sold close to 100mil records. I would bet he's worth at least 150mil. And 50 is worth more than that, so do the math.

They're not wrong, but it all depends on the financial documents they were given.

They even have a disclaimer which states that.

All those artists net worths are much more than the figures shown.

Enterprise Magazine and Forbes in 2008 in a joint project had access to proper documents and according to their calculations the net worth of artists was

Jay-Z: ~650 million
Diddy: ~450-500 million
50 Cent: ~440 million

Mind you that was in 2008.

Just imagine how much Eminem would have if he sold out...he could do a ton of ads and endorsements, release tons of music that didn't make the cuts for albums, do guest appearances on tv/movies, events...he could even RICHER than he is, lol. A lot of these other artists have a lot of money because of deals they've made with companies, like 50 and Coca Cola.
