I do not hate hopsin even one bit,i find him just very unoriginal and he has been said to be "The Next Eminem" on this site, very overrated here.

^propably didnt read that part now,did you?

and u may have not payed attention to the title of the thread,it means who u think is overrated, and on TRSHADY hopsin is indeed overrated, but i do like him,he is a cheap Slim Shady, but maybe being a cheap slim shady isnt bad, nobody ever gonna come close to a 97-99 Eminem,so if ur close to that,u should take that as a compliment.

@dead prez

wasnt even arguing bro, this isnt arguing cuz it doesnt satisfy the definition of an argument IMO.

Canibus - Good battle rapper but nothing more. Some people treat him like a lyrical god :confusion:

Tech n9ne - I don't think I have ever heard a good song.

Hopsin - I like some of his songs but I can't help thinking: Why are you so mad?

Slaughterhouse - Check Mike's post.

Royce da 5'9" - Used to like his rapping but I find him quite boring now. His music doens't have much replay value.

So you think he is very unoriginal, yet has a classic album? Name one other very unoriginal classic album.

And yes, I did read the title. You can still be overrated and have a classic album, but that's not what you are saying, is it? You're saying Hopsin is very unoriginal, not merely overrated.

!

You know I couldeasily say 99 Eminem was a cheap Redman, Chino Xl, Esham and Big L, and that 95 Eminem was a cheap Nas/Az, but I'm a nice guy. There's nothing wrong with being inspired by certain rappers, though I do think Hopsin owes a lot of his ideas to Eminem.

Bit of a difference to be fair. Eminem took inspiration from those guys and added so much of his own style and personality in there the inspiration wasn't immediately recognisable

Whereas Hopsin's whole style and technique basically screams Eminem the minute you hear it.

That being said, I'm enjoying DevilsAdvocate digging hole after hole.

Are you kidding? The only way you could call it unoriginal is it's similar to other Outkast stuff, an that's not what he was saying, he's saying Hopsin as a whole is unoriginal.

but man,Eminem Listened to everybody,he made his own style by takin bits and pieces of everybody's style and developing it,he IMO became better than those,Red's shock value,Chino's Delivery,Esham and his horrorcore,L's AMAZING PUNCHES (Em didnt do better than Big L tho in terms of punches) Tupac's passion Big Daddy Kane and G Rap's rhyming technique's,COULD GO ON FOR DAYS!

Yeah, I can for sure see the Em influence, but he's very different. The fact that he is so adamant against drug/alcohol use really shows how he strives to be his own person/musician. I hear so many wannabe-Ems copying his style of referencing drugs and whatnot. Also, his lyrics/style are actually pretty different than Em's to me. I've heard much worse Eminem imitators, including myself when I was like 14 haha.

Debatable

Chino's Delivery,

You mean his celebrity bashing?

Esham and his horrorcore

Eh

,L's AMAZING PUNCHES (Em didnt do better than Big L tho in terms of punches)

Eminem's punchlines fucking suck, even in his prime his punches never touched Big L's.
Tupac's passion

In terms of pure passion debatable, leaning towards Pac.

Big Daddy Kane and G Rap's rhyming technique's,COULD GO ON FOR DAYS!

If you're referring to 95 Eminem and his multies, they fucking sucked and nowhere near touched Nas/az's multies.

Oh please... They were trying so hard to be original that they ended up making an album filled with space sounds & god-awful beats.

You're whole post is subjective,i lean towards Em in everything posted here except Big L's punchlines, not alot of rappers are coming close to that.
