He did it to get a commercial partner for Shady Records to promote the new artists signed to the label. It's hard for guys like Yela and SH to get good promotion deals, he did it for them.

I'm sure some people would like for him to stay the pill popping, angry at the world, rip people to shreds just because he can guy, but others like to see him grow up and have different a perspective. If you want to hear him bash pop stars then go get an older album because he doesn't seem that interested in replaying what he did 10 years ago.

All i have to say is that people grow and mature. I used to hate gays and lesbians but after working with them in a restaurant I hang out with them and I think they are wonderful people and I don't use the word "faggot" as loosely anymore. Doesn't mean I'm a hypocrite. It just means that I've matured. The change in his tone and his lyrics reflect his maturity. If he stuck to the same "gimmick" of raising controversy and talking shit just to make headlines then some could argue that that's all it ever was - a gimmick.

I'm actually the same when it comes to gay people. Once I went to college I became friends with a few gay people, and where I work one of my bosses (a girl) is gay. I try not to use the term faggot at all, including on this forum, because I respect my friends and who they are, its similar to why I won't use the n-word, but I understand that scenerio is slightly different than this.

No, the pill popping is when he became immature. That started after The Eminem Show and resulted in his atrocious 5 year period of music.

He's more mature now than he was THEN, sure...but he's still using bathroom humor and his shitty punchlines are embarrassing.

Oh, and he says "faggot" now more than he ever used to...because he's immaturely trying to force controversy that isn't there to be had anymore.
