This. He actually had the fire in his belly again and didn't have to go looking for corny punchlines in order to have dope content.

I like the current Eminem. He's continuously growing and changing and so is his music. Diss tracks are fun but I imagine they get old after a while, especially when no one has a good comeback.

Amadeo wrote:Diss tracks are fucking awesome. The whole idea of verbally assaulting someone, where a rhyme is equivalent to a punch in boxing, is one of the most innovative things to ever come out of rap music/culture. It's such a creative sport.

battling and making disses was part of how rap started right? I think it began more as saying things in jest, or just as being competitive, but only later grew into actually becoming what it is now and has been for many years...which is everything you posted ^ there. Just made me think about it in terms of the history of hip-hop, so, someone correct me if I was incorrect in anything I stated :y:

Yeah Emady you're right, it started off as a competition for who could rock the crowd better and from that it evolved into battling, and that spawned diss tracks & beef when it was 2 well known rappers who had a problem with each other rather than 2 people scheduled to battle.

One of the few songs since he came back that literally sound like they could have been made in 2002. Where is this Em? I mean, okay, change your style and rap about whatever, but the flow, rhyming, etc. that he displayed in the warning....why doesn't he do that? It's obvious from this song that he still CAN.

Someone needs to make Em passionate and angry about something asap.
